Apple Seeds Release Candidate Versions of iOS 16.6 and iPadOS 16.6 to Developers

Apple today seeded the release candidates (RCs) of upcoming iOS 16.6 and iPadOS 16.6 updates to developers for testing purposes, with the software coming a week after the release of the fifth betas. RCs precede a public launch and mark the final version of the software that will be provided to iPhone and iPad users.

Registered developers can opt in to the betas by opening up the Settings app, going to Software Update, tapping on the “Beta Updates” option and toggling on the iOS 16 Developer Beta. Note that an Apple ID associated with a developer account is required to download and install the beta.

According to Apple's release notes for the update, iOS 16.6 and iPadOS 16.6 includes unspecified bug fixes and security improvements.

Looking forward to the release of this.
My email notifications stopped working a few weeks ago, not sure if the last update did it or what else might be going (this is the standard mail app, I did not change any settings and I do get all other notifications as usual, just not mail)

I have the worst battery life on my 13 Pro Max on iOS 16.6 and I upgraded to beta cause I thought 16.5 was bad 🤡 but this one is tragic. I have 31% battery left and I'm at 5h1m SOT with airplane mode turned on, previously with that many battery % left i used to be at 8-9h SOT, so for me it's a huge downgrade in terms of battery life.

After 16.5.1 I had the same issue with my 13 Pro Max. I've never had any issues before. My phone would randomly heat up while doing nothing and during the charge it would get very warm, which has never happened before, and it would lose charge very quickly. I've tried a bunch of fixes I've found online, but none of them worked.

The only thing that worked was a clean install. Connect your iPhone to a MAC, do the DFU thing and choose "Restore," not an "Update." Make sure you have a backup, because the phone will be completely wiped and restored to factory settings. The whole process was surprisingly fast, less than 1 hour, maybe around 30-ish minutes.

Sadly No, the only way that can be fixed (bound bankruptcy) ia sadky to chip away at it, at a faster rate than minimum payments tempts you to do. I realize that this can be really hard in precent macro economik conditions so I just want to wish you good luck.

Actually that "weird text" generator just uses /abuses some inicode controll catacters dealing with writing direction and character combination, some of the same features that are used to create a lot of the different emojis that have been added to all mobile platforms over ahe past few years (ecamole the famale astronaut with dark skin colour is actually the emoji for a woman + a zero width joiner + the colour brown + xero with joiner the rocket emoji . PS the example is by memory from this video (typed out the example before before checking the video so tmy texts is wrong=
 
The ability to turn on Do Not Disturb for the duration of a meeting (Outlook Exchange) is still not fixed. This last worked in 16.3.1.
