If I get my iPhone XS Max after eSIM goes live and is supported by AT&T, would my phone ship using eSIM or with a traditional sim?

I'd prefer eSIM, that way when I travel I can just pop in a local SIM card for data.

Same question I have. I can't wait for this feature. Will be great for traveling. I hate having to switch SIMs.

Both. eSim for your carrier (if supported) and use a local SIM card in whatever country you’re in.

And then there are people who think that changing sims is more convenient, even after I explain to them eSim would be so much easier.

Example:
You travel to some country in Asia, you look on the internet for a provider, you can register right away, as soon as you arrive in the country your Phone will work, it can't be more convenient.

Does anyone know how I can my Bluetooth little indicator back, next to me battery indicator. Buggered if I know why it was taken away from me

This just conditions us to wait for the x.1 release each year. I'll experiment with my iPad, but not my phone.

Can't say I care for the new facetime UI that much. Plus its been buggier recently with a new feature..no red button to hangup the call (it stays green). Can't swish it away. Either the other person hangs up or you power off the phone.

I started testing this morning at home and at work. On 12 I wasn't able to connect to the 5GHz band at home or at work, but that seems to be resolved after updating to 12.1. I can connect to that frequency in both locations now, and I haven't observed any issues while connected yet. I'm on Verizon, and had not observed the LTE issues others were reporting so I can't speak from experience on that.

I can also now with 12.1 beta 2 get 5GHz automatic connection on my eero system, whereas it was 2.4GHz on the beta 1. However, speeds are still not full throttle as before. It’s still slower than iPhone 7&8, laptops etc. So right connection, half speeds.

PS, version 16B5068i for those wondering.

My 9.7" iPad pro received the 2nd update, but not my XS Max. On the Max, I am running build (16B5059d), and it refuses to see any new update. Is there a way for me download it manually?

aka The Version they should have gone live with as iOS 12.0 but didn't because they're a huge org that moves slower and slower year after year.

Still doesnt fix the screen freeze issue I started having with 12.0.... occasionally, buttons wont work when I tap on them and I cant scroll webpages.... happens on two iPads.

Same here! It says I have the latest version but I am on the old build. Any ideas?
