The dark mode seems noticeably darker.
Give us a screenshot with the default wallpaper and nothing open please. Then we can compare. (I haven't installed the betas for a while)

I could be wrong, but I recall the dark mode being more gray and translucent in prior versions.
AFPS for spinning hard drives? This decade?
It looks like that’s it. It turned on by itself though. I installed the update on 3 different Macs that didn’t have it on in the past. New default possibly? It seems you have "Reduce transparency" on.

Yes. It oddly turned itself on for both my 13” and 15” 2013 MacBook Pros during the update but did not turn on for my 2016 MacBook Pro.That could be an issue related to your sysprefs/accessibiltiy/display settings: is "reduce transparency" enabled?

How about month 13 out of bounds in console, has that been fixed?
Photos STILL crashing?
Photos STILL crashing?
You ask this as if EVERYONE has this problem. It doesn’t happen on either of my Macs. Why don’t you call AppleCare?
Funny how the one issue with this build is related to WPAD and Google just posted an exploit for it on Windows as well. https://googleprojectzero.blogspot.kr/2017/12/apacolypse-now-exploiting-windows-10-in_18.html
Do you really think *anyone is reading that very long and VERY technical article.
Most of us here don't know what the *** it's all about.
Try if it still crashes in a new User on your Mac, go to System Preferences, open Users and groups, add a new User, next logout from your normal account and log into the new one, if Photo's does not crash there it's a problem with your normal User Account.
If you need more assistance just let us know, but be aware not everybody is in the same time zone.
Bring AFPS support for external booting disks and Time Machine disks.
Well I did, and I quite enjoyed it actually.
Alternatively use the guest account. It automatically cleans up after itself afterwards![]()
You're a Nerd.
Just kidding.
Thank you! That's the kindest thing I've heard all week, hehe.
What is AFPS?
just kidding, but it's APFS as in Apple File System.
