Out of genuine curiosity, what is the fascination with build numbers?

For public releases it is rare for there to be different build numbers for the same version number and so checking the build number would not normally be necessary.

Betas on the other hand are different in this regard. For many years there would be a large number of build numbers associated with the same version number.

So it is quite common simply to check the build number to ascertain if a beta had been successfully installed.

Furthermore if you know anything about ipsw files, build numbers together with model identifiers help in ascertaining the correct one to download.

They limited the Recently Added section to 60 albums in Sonoma.

This has single handedly just ruined my entire Apple Music experiance. How on earth am I supposed to browse my entire library by that view with recently added first now - it doesn't exist?!

I'll keep my eye on it - but i'm not holding much hope out that'll change for a while if it all. They'll need a lot of noise to revert this.

I've been having issues with M1 Mac Studio and Studio Display with all of the aerial screensavers freezing on static image after a short while. Since beta 7 & 8, plus official release. Does not happen on my M1 Mac mini with a Lenovo monitor. Have even wiped hard drive and done clean install, still occurs. Screen saver starts OK, morphs into the desktop, then next time screensaver starts it will freeze on a static image after a short while. only way to fix is to select a new screener, or re-start. It always re-occurs. Feedback assistant says no similar issues???

Still not fixed in 14.2 Public Beta 1
