Apple today seeded the second beta of an upcoming watchOS 10 update to developers for testing purposes, with the software update coming two weeks after the beta was first introduced following the June 5 WWDC keynote event.

To install the watchOS 10 update, developers will need to open the Apple Watch app, go to the Software Update section under "General" in Settings, and toggle on the watchOS 10 Developer Beta. Note that an Apple ID linked to a developer account is required.

Once beta updates have been activated, watchOS 10 can be downloaded under the same Software Update section. To install software, an Apple Watch needs to have 50 percent battery life and it must be placed on an Apple Watch charger.

watchOS 10 adds a whole new widget-focused interface. You can access a widget stack from any watch face using the Digital Crown, swiping through them to get to relevant information. Control Center can be activated from any app by pressing the side button, and these new quick access controls are meant to let you use watch faces that support less information while still putting everything you need at your fingertips.

There are new Palette and Snoopy watch faces, updates to Cycling and Hiking workouts, and mental health integrations. Users can log their state of mind and mood using the Apple Watch, with the device providing insights into mental health over time.

watchOS 10 is limited to developers at the current time, but Apple will offer a public beta later this summer, with an official release to follow this fall.

Nothing for me and my Series 5 either. From all the betas, this is the one with worst performance, hopefully beta 2 improves things a bit.

Annoyingly temperature/humidity sensors are still not showing up on the home app on the watch in B2 (page is blank). No issues with them showing on the iPhone home app, just the watch one.

Lights and everything else on the watch home app still works as it should.

Can anyone confirm if my bug with the weather complications always showing Cupertino has been fixed? I walked the process of enabling location services etc. when I went into weather app on the watch, it would show the correct current location…just not on the complications.

No one would be able to give you a valid answer for at least a day+

After updating iOS/iPadOS/WatchOS, there’s always a period of time once completed where the OS indexes everything and finishes putting everything in its place, all in the background. And because these are betas, that process isn’t optimized. So no one will truly get an idea as to how battery life is under regular use for a few days. Ask me Saturday morning.

Not a developer, I don't have a beta switch. Automatic updates are on. Still no beta 2 even after installing 17 beta 2.
you just click to the right of where it sayas dev beta when you check for updates. then there is an opt to turn off. Then back on and it should recheck.

Nope! I’m thinking they’re going with “this is by design”, unfortunately.
Hi,
Long press on the watch screen, wait for one second and when the face minimizes, swipe left or right to change faces.
I believe beta 1 didn't allow swiping between watch faces.
Can anyone let us know if this was fixed?
