Apologies if this has been said, but Apple released beta 3 to the public today, not public beta 2.

Sensibly this year Apple haven’t had a different name for the same beta for the public, yet MacRumors hasn’t reported this way.

Until this year it was confusing, but now the first beta for the public was beta 2. Makes sense to me.

Vent over.
Yes. They could just refer to it as beta 3. Not developer beta 3 or public beta 3. Apple released beta 3 to developers. Apple released beta 3 to the public. It’s Apple’s third beta. No difference between developer or public. Just who gets it and when.

IS anyone having bluetooth issues?
I installed the PB3 and now my AirPods Pro won't play music.
They are connected in the bluetooth device. They make the chirp noise when they connect over BT, however when selecting the Airpods Pro as a music source, iOS 14 PB3 won't connect.
My AirPods are working perfectly...

strange.
it’s happening with ANY Bluetooth headsets for me.
Even when using the AirPods Pro if I do a ear test the audio actually comes out of the iPhone speakers.
Crazy stuff!!!

Wonder if this fixes the issue I had with Carplay not playing back text messages I used Siri to reply with.

The new beta tripped my network security. Looks like they now use a random MAC address for WiFi by default. Or has this been there?

Has tvOS been updated too? I've had problems with HomeKit Secure Video since I installed the Beta on my ATV4K. It's the only device I installed the "14" beta software onto. I regret doing it—the ATV4K prioritizes itself as the HomeHub.
It appears that there is a tvOS update as well. I just downloaded it and seems to be working marginally better. You can now swipe left and right between cameras on ATV, which is very nice. Previously you would have to return to the serious menu to select another camera. My video still freezes after a few minutes of watching the live stream.

I'd love to see MacRumors condense their beta update articles to really only reflect changes in the newest beta update, instead of having to comb through the entire regurgitated article. Just put a small blurb at the end directing them to the original iOS14 announcement article.
I also wish they would never mention new memojis because, come on, those are in no way any dramatic new feature. Maybe list those in a children’s section or something.

World Clock widget cannot choose cities other than Cupertino, Tokyo, Paris, and Sydney.

Small Weather widget (4 tiles size) is not showing info after updated to PB3.

edit - Weather widget finally showed info after restarted device and waited for 10 minutes or so.

Been running Developer Beta/Public Beta since it launched and its been very stable. A few minor bugs here and there. I noticed they changed the Apple Music icon to red in PB2 (or 3) which I like.

I have this latest beta on my main 11 Pro Max. This latest beta fixed an app that wouldn't open, it would crash.

Almost 2 weeks using iOS 14 and it is good. To me it seems like sound quality from the iPhone speakers and Air Pods Pro is better in iOS 14.

One issue with this 3rd beta, face ID for app store purchases stopped working and I have to manually input the password.

I'd had problems with it on PB2, but on PB3, I couldn't get past the two-factor authorization that had my wrong email, and wouldn't allow me to change it. So, I couldn't get into the Feedback program to let them know. So, I reverted to iOS13. iPad mini 5. Not sure what went haywire.

I just added the cities in the widget set up, worked ok, the main issue is the widget time is slower than real time, so it will lose over 15minutes per hour.

Thanks for the info. Just realised that I have to click on the names of the cities to change cities. Also can combine multiple world clock widgets with different cities groups into one widget stack! World time seems in line with my clock.

Used to have Weather widget on iPad now I don’t have it anymore. Anyone?

It’s still on my iPad after updating to PB3.

Didn’t work for me. I tried rebooting, opening the app, reinstalling it, adding/removing from homescreen, still nothing.

I just left the weather widget there on my iPhone and iPad and the info suddenly showed up after 10 minutes or so.
