Exactly One year from today! See below. 👇👇

I'm happy Apple released a new iOS 16.4 Beta 2 today. Let's get it! 🔥

I hate to get semantic, but do you mean One Year Ago today? One Year From today is talking about future events, and I thought Apple sent out invites for an event that will take place a year from now. My first thought was that's weird. :p

So is the HomeKit architecture working better?

At some point, I really hope they allow us to pick the primary hub device. I have 6 New Homepods, 2 Older Homepods, 11 Minis, and 6 of the newest Apple TV's 128 versions. That's 23 total Apple "hubs" in my home app. It's constantly picking a mini at the far end of the house a majority of the time, but also switches to others that make little sense.(Basement models). I'd love to put the primary living room Apple TV as my hub, it's 4 feet from where the Internet/routers and all the goodies are.

When innovation means “new emojis”, it must come from Apple. Why I love my iPhone so much?, I can’t explain, it is NOT reasonable…

Don't have my developer account configured on device but it's letting me download the developer beta update.

This beta is terrible.
  • installation took a really long time. worried me it was frozen/corrupted.
  • a whole bunch of things are frozen. Camera froze taking a photo. UI froze. General > software update froze. Google Home froze.
  • Phone is really warm. Battery was okay, then it went haywire and battery went from 80% > 70% in 3 minutes.
  • Cellular signal is awful. What was 5G UW (Verizon) dropped down to 5G or LTE. In my home (a light signal location to begin with, I went from 3 bars to 1 bar)
Avoid.

Personally haven't experienced any of that yet aside from it taking a long time to install.

No problems on my gen 3 IPad Pro or my 14 ProMax very rapid install on both, the beta 1 and 2 have worked flawlessly for me. I guess mileage varies…

Hopefully the new Home architecture actually works this time.
I had a lot of difficulty in the first 24 hours, with no responses and other connection issues. One device with connect, and somehow that triggered another not responding. Once it was all settled, seems to be behaving well.
