That's for US only and some of us in US don't have it either.

This looks similar to the current vocal shortcuts. Can you assign a sound to open an app? Clucks to open Chickfila for me 🐔

It allows you to assign a shortcut, so in theory yes you could do that.

Yeah, it’s showing up and giving me the option. But when you go into the Messages app. It still says it’s sending as an SMS to a android.

Oh no. Really? I was hoping that changing the region to the US would enable these features even when you’re in the EU. Bummer. Can anyone confirm? Any workarounds? 😞

Updating to beta 2 now - random question, in the photos app, does anyone know how to select multiple photos to delete in bulk? The "select" button doesn't exist in my GUI, and the only way I can "select multiple" is in share mode.

Am I missing something?

Swipe down on the photos grid to cover the whole screen then it will show. Quick swipe on the grid does it, as in you don't need to drag all the way to the bottom, if that makes sense?

Before I switched back to iPhone I had a Samsung device that had RCS via google messages, I’m on the same carrier but no such toggle on my iphone now.

I’m guessing the toggle/slider is there. But it doesn’t seem like it currently active server side

Dark mode versions of the ios18 wallpapers still have that hideous color banding. I wonder if they'll even catch that and release the lossless file for the final build. Phone brightness above 50% really shows it especially on this wallpaper:

Seems Screen Time is broken on this beta , safari has a screen time passcode and it’s not something I’ve set and can’t open the screen time settings either 🥴
Anyone else having issues with screen time?

Overall, it runs smoother and faster than Beta 1 on my iPhone 11 Pro Max (my burner phone 😂)
Just feels a lot more responsive, and less twitchy in Safari.

rearranging the control center might be the jankiest thing I've ever used on iOS. Moving 1 app into a new, unoccupied space makes every single other app move across the entire available spaces. apps routinely just disappear or will not snap into the open available spots. very frustrating

If I were to hazard a guess, either a beta 2 issue or our mobile numbers just aren't able to be provisioned with Google and their Jibe service (which now Apple and others are using to be able to provide RCS)

Guys I have a Brazilian Apple ID and it worked perfectly here to use iPhone Mirroring.

So I guess that's the only way, it's changing the region

It’s absolutely wild how it works, I hope they fix it. I think it uses similar logic to the Home Screen where it always snaps to the left, which really messes with any tile bigger than 1x1. They need to adjust the arrangements and let any app/control toggle go anywhere at any time.
