Apple today seeded the second betas of upcoming iOS 26.3, iPadOS 26.3, tvOS 26.3, and watchOS 26.3 updates to public beta testers, with the updates coming four weeks after Apple provided the first betas to testers.

Anyone can download and install public betas, and all that's required is to sign up on Apple's beta site. Once you've opted in, the software can be downloaded through the Software Update section in the Settings app on each device.

iOS 26.3 adds a new tool for transitioning from an iPhone to an Android device. Transfers can be initiated during the device setup process, and moving data from one device to another can now be done without having to download a specific app.

The update also includes changes to third-party wearables in the European Union, with more information available in our iOS 26.3 beta 2 feature list following yesterday's release to developers.

Apple is expected to release iOS 26.3 and iPadOS 26.3 to the public at the end of January.

I have about an hour of car time in so far, and not one disconnection yet. Hopeful, but won’t believe it until I have a solid week under this release.
yes I have been driving a lot and the same trip back and forth to work as I have been driving for the last 3 months with between 10-20 disconnections. today with this update = zero disconnections. I can hardly believe it, and now I have definitely jinxed it, but I hope not. I have not made any changes to the setup or anything, so if it continues then it can only be today's update

The only thing I want in this update is carplay fixed!! In my case, I'm using wired carplay and it's still disconnecting all the time as of 26.2.
Bonus points for also improving column view in the Finder so that it always resizes to accommodate the maximum length filename. It only took a few decades, but this feature finally arrived in macOS 26! It's currently broken if you rename files or drag in new content.

Where are you, lot?

With each point release, the flood of new features is becoming a trickle.

It's also becoming apparent that, with the departure of Alan Dye from Apple, there is little interest within Apple to tweak or fix Liquid Glass beyond the tinting options already provided.

I've left the beta track.

See you again in the summer for iOS 27!

I noticed in FindMy, if the person you’re following is connected to CarPlay, it’ll have a car badge on their photo indicating they’re driving.
I think that’s based on analytics, my daughter does not have CarPlay, but will show a car when she is traveling, will also show someone riding a bike. 😂
