Anyone else not have this screen? Definitely not on my phone.

I'm using an iPad mini 3 and I've noticed improved scrolling speed, reduced overall studded and slide over isn't as jerky. Overall, the experience is much more refined but still not as smooth as iOS 8. There is still the occasional obvious stutter and 1-2 second delay to return to the home screen after pressing the home button but this was a much needed improvement. The previous iteration was making me hate my iPad. Battery life is still to be determined. Here's hoping for continual improvement and optimization.

Finally, I remember when I jailbroke my iPhone like 4 years ago, it made much more sense to display the images of my contacts in this app. Even Facebook Messenger does it.

And I also hope it fixes a few critical bugs about SpriteKit...
Apple totally borked their own gaming engine in 9.0...

your phone has to be able to show contact photos in the first place so thats the 6 and 6+ (6s 6s+) i think. I dont think iOS 9 outrightly added that to all phones that run it i think that was a taking advantage of the real estate on the new big screen feature + ipad.

I don't know if the iOS currently does this. but I would love to have this the option that if i delete any phone from any location in "photos" it will delete instead of going to to the photo album to delete the photo.

So annoying.

I'm signed up for the Public Beta and was able to get the Beta 2 following the directions others mentioned.

Downloading now. As a Public Beta tester, my pet bug, which I've reported repeatedly to Apple, had been the complete failure of Swiftkey to come up whenever I do anything that equates to a share. Whether I was sharing a link or a photo or, just trying to jump across apps to a message or email, I got no keyboard at all. If I made an email draft, I could open the draft and keep working with Swiftkey, but there was a major bug with third party keyboards; in messages, there was nothing I could do, aside from Copy what I was attempting to share, and pasting it into the message.

Now that Beta 2 is live on my 5S, I am thrilled to discover that this bug appears squashed!

The next apparent third party keyboard bug I'd like to see fixed is getting kicked out of the 3rd party keyboard randomly, reverting back to the iOS keyboard. Time will tell if this update addresses that, which isn't as critical as zero keyboard functionality.
I have seen this bug from iOS 8.4 one of those betas. Very annoying for me, and I end up using stock keyboard rather than third party ones.

I wonder when they're going to seed pb2...

Not that I have much probles with pb1, but sometimes message notifications go silent by themselves (rings and other sounds are present) and I notice some small lags in normal use.
Moreover, the photos taken by camera app, when zoomed in in photo album have bad quality. After sending them to computer they are ok though.

iOS 9.1 also includes Unicode 8, adding support for some long-awaited emoji like the taco, burrito, cheese wedge, middle finger, unicorn head, and more, plus it includes a new "Hey Siri" Settings feature that lets the "Hey Siri" command be customized for an individual user's voice.

This is available on iOS 9.0 general release?

I seem to be getting significantly better battery life with beta 2. 6 Plus. Not dropping anywhere near as rapidly as it was with beta 1. Will keep on eye on it.

BTW for all you experiencing lag...I turned ON both Reduce Motion and Reduce Transparency and the difference in performance is extremely noticeable on my 128GB 6+. Extremely. (Some have mentioned that you can turn these back off and keep the performance benefit. For my part, I like that having them ON also means increased battery life.

I knew this before even in iOS7, it just that I came to read again in your post.
And yes, it does solve the lag issue. Reduce Transparency set to ON is enough, just retain the Reduce Motion to OFF so that you won't miss the animation/transition goodness :)

I get my 6S Plus tomorrow (like so many of us), and I want to flash it to 9.1 Beta 2 before I start setting it up. Will I be able to update to the release version through OTA or will I have to flash it again come November or whenever?

iOS 9.1 "beta" 2 is in fact developer preview 2. If your new 6s will be registered with developer's account, then you could install dp2. Otherwise - not

You're wrong.
Install public beta profile. Then delete it and check for updates. I did this and have beta 2 with dev profile.

Sorry, should be I have beta 2 withOUT dev profile.

And yes, I'm aware it's dp version.

My car stereo has issues connecting to audio on the iPhone. The phone part is fine, but the streaming part takes a few tries of connecting and restarting the phone. Same thing with trying to connect with usb. Other people seem to have issues with call routing in the car

I've just updated and tested for this very reason, I have issues with Bluetooth Audio steaming in my 2010 BMW 3 Series.

Sadly, it is not fixed in 9.1 Beta2. It only started in 9.1 PB1, 9.0 PB4 was just fine. I have reported it in 9.1 PB1.

That beta profile trick doesn't work for me. Perhaps they fixed it in the meantime. Tried it a couple of times, just getting an error that the phone was unable to check for updates.
