I'm in the same camp, I like how the address bar and table all take up the one space. Do not like the new sidebar look, that can go.Well I have it turned on, I prefer the Compact design.

Which is ideal, because the term "Golden Master" would be way too offensive to use in 2021 ?Replaced with Release Candidate
Sure, but it's worse if there's bugs (there always will be) and there isn't one available.DHagan4755 said:Not that it's too big of a deal, but it's not a good user experience to buy a brand new MacBook Pro & it already needs a system software update.

It's a worse user experience to not ship an update with bugfixes as soon as possible. Not that it's too big of a deal, but it's not a good user experience to buy a brand new MacBook Pro & it already needs a system software update.

If you don't want most of the bugs, then you need to wait at least 6 months after the official public release date.Definitely why I don't even bother with MacOS till release day. Even then, sure, could have bugs, but at least you know it's the real RC RC.
Have you ever bought a windows laptop? I had to provision a Lenovo P15 recently and it took 2 hours and about 5 reboots to install all the windows upgrades and crap and that was a new machine. Not that it's too big of a deal, but it's not a good user experience to buy a brand new MacBook Pro & it already needs a system software update.
And the rest of the tech world never even called it that, Gold Master is the term. Apple started this 'golden' nonsense that is more like kindergarten talk.Which is ideal, because the term "Golden Master" would be way too offensive to use in 2021 ?
Maybe with Apple but look at the gaming scene. The term 0day patch is dated way back, ever since consoles are online. Just image if a cartridge needed a patch back then, it would had bankrupt a smaller dev for sure. This experience belongs to the past, before 2015.
Basically, no one involved can walk away with their hands clean. We share the blame for what we have today.Blame it on marketing, deadlines are more important than a quality product since 'we can always fix it later'. On the other hand of course, there is no finished product from a programmer's point of view.

Fair enough. You did make me laugh! That just gets you different bugs.

Apple never called it "Golden Master". It's simply always been GM.And the rest of the tech world never even called it that, Gold Master is the term. Apple started this 'golden' nonsense that is more like kindergarten talk.
