On the emoji front.. Ideally the would add a "favourites" like on the Mac. Let me choose 20 or so that I use and be done with it.

you can check energy, and see what apps are draining it

uninstalled apps are those that you deleted, you could also check you backup settings, you could be using cellular to backup your iPhone. point is, in general there is no issue impacting every user, you may have a setting, or use your phone as a hotspot, etc causing this condition

This seems to be a glitch that’s affecting a small number of users. Data I used in apps and then deleted would make sense, but that’s not it. I’ve reset my stats so uninstalled apps is at 0MB, but then an hour later, without using the phone and having cellular data disabled for every single app, “uninstalled apps” has used 60MB of data.
This is happening on my wife’s phone too, but her usage is attributed to “system services”

Oh, this. I don’t have any calendar issues, but my reminders still don’t sync. I think I have 50+ reminder notifications on my Mac because they don’t update when I clear them on my phone.
Mine is the opposite. If I clear from my phone they sync to my Mac. But if I clear from the mac they don't sync.

Calendar doesn't sync either way!

Why are you still posting all this emoji nonsense?

Why can't you focus on the CarPlay changes instead? There's such little input on this, yet this is a game-changer. There's no discussion on the HUD integration (apparently available in iOS13), and the new dynamic dashboard with 3rd party apps. Even the CarKey is quite interesting (even if it isn't pioneering).

I've no incentive to use the stock Mail app on iOS until they can make Push notifications work with Gmail. I get that it's Google doing things a quirky way but Outlook and some other third-party apps have managed it. I don't really care for the "political" reasons for why Push doesn't work natively I just want it resolved.

And PLEASE Apple make the Mail subfolders closed like the Mac instead of open by default and we can't close it ourselves... When you have a lot of mail subfolders, that's a pain to scroll ! It's so basic the Mac already does it !

Hmmm... the iOS post 13 betas have been fine for me until this one with one third party app... The third party app (Sugarmate) used to prefill a field, and once touching the field, the whole value would be selected so it could quickly be overwritten. Now it seems text doesn't highlight, meaning deletion of characters required. Hopefully developer can fix in the app, or Apple can revert behavior.

I refuse to use emojis.
Emoji are easy enough to ignore, but Apple really needs to allow the user to ignore memoji/animoji sent by someone on the other end. At least "reduce motion" (which really should be the default) allows you to ignore most message effects.

If I use both ios Mail app AND Outlook, will this mess up my .Mac emails and reminders? I'm want to see if Outlook works better than the horrible stock mail and reminders app.

Is the default mail app even worth using? I've used Outlook and others for years now.

Outlook, on just about any platform, does not render html emails correctly. Apple Mail is the only email on that just works without ay background or spacing issues. (I send emails blasts as a living.)

Whem will Apple fix the ABYSMAL mode in which "Dark Mode" & "Smart Inversion" interact?
As now it is simply IMPOSSIBLE to use them...:mad::mad:

Of course, I don't use dark mode at all, but how is this anyone OTHER than the web site "designer's" problem?

Unfortunately there are the same problems with the Apple Apps, like the Mail...:(

This is why HTML email is evil. I'm not sure what people expect Apple to do, exactly. I really do wish Apple Mail could be configured to only display the plain-text component of the email, but then again, you have true morons who ONLY include a styled-text component.

After all, no matter what wildly colored, inappropriately-chosen font most idiots think they want to use, I guarantee you that I, at least, couldn't care less. And wish I didn't have to see it.

Im more curious how apps like Outlook force a dark mode in some HTML emails I get where in Apple mail is white background. It works pretty well 95% of the time, sometimes a bit visually wonky, but doesnt really affect much. I get Apple cares f its perfect around the edges etc. but my retinas dont

I know Apple wont implement it though, it doesnt want to change what the creator intended. Which yes, goes back to the creator to make the email set up properly to render in a dark mode.

It is not only the Mail content, the problems are the same with the Mail App GUI: e.g., the keybord alternate from white to black background, the Time & Carrier icons are black on black and so on... :-/

Luckily they both have an easy option to undelete, but I don't like the fact that Apple's stock apps have such an inconsistent UI. It shows the dev teams aren't co-ordinated.

Mail toolbar - delete is on the left
Photo toolbar - delete is on the right
