I have a 12.9" iPad Pro on Beta 6. My power button doesn't put the iPad to sleep. Will install Beta 7 and see if it resolves it, but is anybody else having this issue?

Downloading now. Wondering if this means something was mission critical wrong, or this is the final release prior to GM because everything is right.

I had some weird audio issue where playing a track for the first time caused it to be all stuttered for about 10 seconds. I thought it was originally a Bluetooth issue, but it even happens with wired headphones as well. Hopefully this new version fixes that!

After downloading the PB to my phone the Higi App started working. Not sure what Apple did, but clearly something that fixed a problem with at least one app. Given the behavior of the app, it seems to me that maybe something to do with a communication protocol.

Just found a bug in Beta 6 ... was about to report it. Now I'll have to update first and see if it's still there.
First world problems ...

Why would you think this?

First, tomorrow's a Saturday.

Second, iOS never goes GM before September. At least, for the last few releases.

Came to say the same thing, it would be really weird getting the GM before September if we are looking at a September event. It's usually GM at the event then a week or two until public release. Looking at the release notes there are still quite few outstanding issues that could get dealt with within that time as well.

Of course we could be getting an earlier event but the rumours that even MR have reported have suggested second week of September, so... probably not?

Obviously dark mode

Definitely not dark mode.

Wow - the previous PBs (at least starting with PB3) were pretty fast, even faster than iOS 9.3.3.
Just finished the update to PB6 on my iPad Air 2 and my iP6+.

Both devices had never been that fast (animations, opening apps, app performance)!

they must have found a really big bug.

They probably found a Universe breaking bug. Universe breaking bugs are actually worse than system breaking bugs, because they result in the entire universe being destroyed.

This has happened a few times already in the past couple of years, which is why 2016 is so messed up. Apple has a lot to atone for.

;)

I'm sorry, but this is still a poor design.

You're telling me a 12.9" iPad Pro doesn't have enough screen real estate and requires scrolling text??

Also, the date isn't centered below the clock.

Regarding the home app: I was using automation through a third party app to unlike my front door when I arrived home and it worked great. Now with the new Apple home app it asks me if I want to run automation when I arrive and if I don't do anything, it doesn't run. This kind of defeats the purpose of automation; if I have to press a button to activate it, it is no longer automation, it's simply mation. Anyone else encounter this and figure a way around this? I'm know this isn't the final product but I hope they remove this unnecessary step and return to full automation.
Definitely report it since the set of people with proximity automations active is probably a very small subset of the testers. I won’t be getting a new Apple TV until gen 5 is out so no way to test it here.

I've noticed this as well with iOS 10. I'm regularly surprised with how fast things are compared to 9.

Somewhat anecdotal, but it also appears that iOS 10 is freeing up a decent amount of storage on my devices. I'm running at ~500MB to 1GB more free storage than iOS 9.

And you're thinking that they confirmed the problem, found and coded the fixed, run the new code past internal testers, and queued it up for international rollout in the span of a few hours?

That assumption is that someone else did send that over to them and find that bug a few weeks back...

Settings > General > Accessibility > Display Accommodations > Invert Colors

You're welcome too.

I wish Invert Colors worked on everything EXCEPT images.

This would allow for a dark UI, while letting you still see photos, etc. on web pages normally. Though some web pages might look screwed up as various assets get inverted and others don't, it would be better than what happens now.
