Apple today provided developers with the seventh betas of iOS 26 and iPadOS 26 for testing purposes, with the updates coming a week after Apple seeded the sixth betas.

Registered developers can download the new beta software using the Software Update section of the Settings app.

iOS 26 and iPadOS 26 feature Apple's new Liquid Glass design aesthetic, with a focus on translucency and glass-like interface elements. The design extends to the Lock Screen, Home Screen, and Control Center, along with menus and buttons in apps.

Apple's software includes features for apps like Messages, Phone, Shortcuts, and Apple Music, along with new Apple Intelligence features, a revamp for CarPlay, and more. In iPadOS 26, there's a whole new multitasking system that supports multiple app windows for a more Mac-like experience.

For more on the features in iOS 26, we have a dedicated iOS 26 roundup and a separate iPadOS 26 roundup. New features have been found in each of the betas, and you can get a recap here: beta 2, for beta 3, beta 4, beta 5, beta 6, and beta 7.

MacRumors should make papers like these in transparent style so we can see it coming.

Can anyone confirm if they fixed the dark screenshot issue?

With older iPhone's like the 11 you dont have an option to turn on and off HDR so that is not a fix for older phones.

I wonder when will they update all the default Apple apps? So far it’s really just…home screen and lockscreen changes, few buttons different here and there, but stock Apple apps are mostly the same.

Pretty sure the update size has been bugged for the last few betas because these updates have been downloading a lot faster then they should be on my internet speeds if they were actually 9+ GB
Especially if these are just "minor" updates from previous dev releases, so don't require new frameworks or anything.

All a builds. First time this has happened in years for an X.0 release.
It’s also the first time since 2009 (other than for AT&T customers) that every feature announced for all the different software is shipping on day 1.

My guess is that year by year the various OSs are sharing more and more common code so a change to one results in a corresponding change to the others.

What are you thinking they’re going to change? The interface change is mostly just interface stuff like buttons/controls/etc. I’m not sure why you’re expecting entire app redesigns.

Has this fixed RCS not working on the iPad when it is relaying through a iOS 18 device
