How stable/reliable is it? I'm tempted to install given my AVP is really just a tech toy rather than something I rely on for serious work, but then again - I've experienced buggy/laggy software in VR and I'm not keen to repeat the experience 🤢.

Beta 7 ends with an a so that means that the release candidate is a right around the corner, which makes sense as we’re about to end the month of August since beta five it’s been a weekly release rather than a biweekly release

Have you not heard about the Meta Quest line of products?

The Meta Quest line was designed for gaming and VR the Apple Vision Pro is augmented reality and it’s built for productivity first and foremost and media consumption, etc. and now that third parties have developed apps you can do with the PlayStation controllers, but that’s not what it was originally designed for it is much more powerful and that’s coming from someone that’s been in VR for 10 years and had many different headsets specifically by Oculus or Meta before purchasing my secondhand AVP I was using the Quest 3 for a few things because things would crash all the time apps screen mirroring and it hasn’t gotten any better once I picked up my second hand AVP I was able to do more and have a staple software for screen mirroring, etc. and I can mirror my iPad and my iPhone the AVP is the best tech purchase I’ve made in a long time probably five years before that the iPad Pro

Yeah, this Monday we either get a RC or Beta 8.
Has Apple announced a date for the launch yet?
They should announce it at least 2 weeks in advance, and it’s usually on Tuesday or Monday.
So my guess is that next Monday it will be a Beta 8; but I hope I’m wrong.


EDIT:
So after seeing the event announcement, it looks like we will get RC next Monday. Then the Event on a Wednesday because Monday is Labor Day.
