I can't wait for this public release. None of my friends have beta so I haven't been able to send anyone cash!

With how large of a company Apple is, why does it take so much time for them to come out with updates to software and products? They have over 100,000 employees. Probably a 1/3 are engineers or 30,000 and half are software half computer/devices. That’s 15,000 software engineers. Probably 10,000 are dedicated to iOS. Wouldn’t they have a couple hundred engineers to implement iMessage in the Cloud? Not sure what the hold up is... Maybe it’s scalability on the server end? I mean over 40 billion iMessages are sent per day (that was 2013).

So I guess the statement about iCloud Message coming later this year is going to be proven incorrect at this pace... sheesh

This is December 1. There is still a high chance they will release it within December, but seeing as HomePod is delayed, they might just reserve this for 11.3 to coincide with HomePod in January or later. Who knows but them!

Anyone else notice a new glitch when 3D touching music app? The Music widget for recently played albums seems to be trying to show a second row of songs...but only for a brief second.

Security, and user data, two things that if gotten wrong, tank the image and customer base like few other things can. They want to get this right. It is best they take their time with it, than implement it half-baked.

Or maybe you're just talking out of your ass and have no idea how Apple's operations work?

It's not just about the number of people working on something.

You'll need to update your X to the new version or you won't be able to restore from backup.
1. set up as new phone
2. download beta
3. reset all content and settings
4. restore from backup

Thank you! Sounds so obvious once you said it.

Beta 5 killed visual voicemail for me and messed with the phone app on my X. After starting the app it stalled for 5 to 10 seconds before becoming usable. Very annoying.
In addition audio/video sync in youtube is messed up - sometimes audio running faster than video, sometimes the other way round. Very annoying too. Now I‘m eagerly waitimg for some new bugs for a change.

Yeah.... there's something but I don't know where. Do a google search and it should turn up.

Weird. VVM still works great for me on my X while on Beta 5. The only issue that I've run into as of late was being on a call and unable to kill apps in the app switcher.

Holy crap!!!!! I got 6 days battery life, safari is so snappy that it hurts my eyes trying to look at it, my storage has tripled, and quick charge in my iPhone 3GS took 5 minutes to fully charge from empty!!

That's so nice to know, thank you! How's the screen resolution for you? I heard the latest beta enables retina as well.
