Yuck. What a mess. Apple used to have more balls to implement design changes that in the long run, worked out once people got used to them. While this is a Beta and they needed to polish things up a bit, I really did love the floating bottom address bar. It was getting better at intelligently getting out of the way when appropriate and I liked the swipe gestures it came with. Hopefully it’s still an option.
Yeah, I think it's actually on be default still. You have to go into the settings to turn on the older top address bar. So it seems they are just giving people the option to go with the new bottom floating bar or the top.

Live text in photos is still unavailable since beta 5. Anyone else ?
Been working fine for me from day 1. Just tried it on beta 6 and still no problems.

Doesnt look that way. The floating bar is dead. It’s now just an old version of the UI with an address bar bolted on.
Having a fixed UI on the bottom isn’t the reason why the floating bar was great.

Apple could’ve just copy the slide over code on iPad and apply it on iPhone and there’d be far fewer complaints. Now there are feature disparities between iPadOS and iOS and macOS. Apple surely is the biggest violator of their OWN STRICT UI design guidelines.

Works for me in iPadOS beta 5. Just tried it on a screenshot now.
Interesting as live text doesn't work whatsoever in iPadOS Beta 5 on my 12.9 iPad Pro 2021 model. Works great on my 12 Pro Max though with beta 5.

Hopefully beta 6 fixes that for me. Stability wise though my iPad, iPhone and Watch it's been rock solid. The OS hasn't given me any issues, my apps have been great and battery life has been absolutely fine.

For a daily driver I'm loving 15 and WatchOS 8. Focus mode alone is worth it. Plus on the watch notifications are much snappier as it shows the content far faster.

I hope they fixed Podcasts downloading. All previous betas of iOS 15 would not complete the podcasts download.
I had to download a couple of times in order to complete the download.

Since beta 5 it works when I set English as system language. But when I set it to my native it doesn’t
Ah it’s ok now , I got into Language change settings and there is a toggle there that allows me on my native language to enable live text.

Do you also have an empty media player playing nothing in the Lock Screen? (All apps are closed)
