I have to use Catalina on my 16" MBP, no choice there. But I still have Mojave on my Air, and really appreciate how smooth, fast and stable it is. Using it even makes me miss iTunes, which I never thought I'd say!
I haven’t been able to part with the Mojave-equipped still-current max-spec iMac I bought this MBP16 to replace. At least once a day I get frustrated with Catalina to the point I put the iMac back on my desk and get some work done, & put the MBP16 on the eBay pile instead. It’s fast, smooth, stable, reliable, the wacom works, + even works in parallels, the ancient 32bit QuickTime 7 splits mp4s without re-encoding them, the networking works, and stays working, the machine doesn’t spaz out and hang over nothing, the fans don’t run like it’s the Indy 500, external drives don’t hang forever, I can still plug any usb drive & device anyone shows up with into it without scrambling for an ill-fitting & overheating dongle. etc etc etc. all things the MBP16 can’t do. ...but then I need to be mobile again, and they switch back to their prior positions. Every day since a January. So frustrating.

And what do the Log files say is the cause of the crash? Which Application by Apple or a third party OEM creates the panic, if any? Is there a pattern of applications in use that triggers the panic? Log files expose a lot of it.
I am not an IT person (I am a physician) so don’t know how to interpret these log files. Literally every time I click on send report to Apple - does anyone at Apple ever look at these? But I have done some troubleshooting and reinstalled MacOS from scratch (after formatting the HD) and the crash happens again, literally dozens of times a day, before I even installed any third party software. So it must be one of the stock MacOS apps. There was an article on Mac Rumors before, a few weeks ago about this crash, I am apparently one of many. There is a thread on Reddit as well...

Interesting I have started considering selling my 16 inch MBP. I left Microsoft 12 years ago over it’s instability and am not wondering if Apple is following the same path.

10.15.4 looks like a disaster for many loyal Mac users.
Seeing so many problems.
Can't believe Apple let this one out.

I will stay with 10.15.3.

Do not agree. It is like always in the Internet. You only see people that have issues with someting and then they start complaining. That is ok but I guess that as always a vast majority is just happy. I am. Catalina worked smoothly on my MBP 2016 from the start in summer 2019.

This is the log file, as usual it's the first thing I see on my MBP when I wake it up in the morning.

thank you for your service!

Mojave was the best..stable OS Apple ever released, it was stable even from the first beta, far better than SL has ever been.
I though...right now have few issues with Catalina, slow login after a wake up is one of them, but it could be there's some process installed by me that is slowing it down.

Rubbish. Mojave is a train wreck. I get kernel panics daily. Icons still don’t display. And Catalina is worse.
