Thanks but unfortunately, that made it worse. Not only does Hey Siri not work but holding down the crown will start up Siri but it says that it cannot communicate. I'm unpairing it now, hopefully after I pair it again, will it work once more.

I swear, that this watch was blazing quick when I first got it but it's gotten slower and dumber with each new update.

Its unfortunate your having these issues, However next time simply turn off hey Siri on the watch and then back on before an un-pair and re-pair.
that said these are betas so issues will happen by the time the final comes out all should be working.

New MacBook and I would assume iMac etc... unlock screens

Working better with HomePod too. Tapping the Airplay icon on the bottom left of the Music app or Now Playing seems to bring up my HomePod as a source every time. Which wasn’t happening in the last beta.

Anyone seeing long "verifying" times when attempting to update to beta 3?

Can’t say as I did, mine actually went a lot faster than I normally expect it to take. Can’t think why it would be taking an excessive amount of time. What version Watch are you on?
