My Series 4 is doing better with this update. Battery drained a little faster after previous update. Almost 3 pm, and I'm still at 92%. That's more like it. Still have to work out.
Won't, and never have made it thru 2 days without charging. I'm fine with putting it on the charger when I'm getting ready for bed, and getting ready in the morning. I can see someone, who doesn't use it for workouts, getting 2 days out of it. But, 3 or 4...no way.

For me the steps complication does not update quite right on one of the faces, so I am hoping they fix that one. Is there something about the workouts app that adds to your red circle? I am walking 5 or 6 miles a day and calisthenics and I have only closed it 4 or 5 times per month. I never start a workout from the app I would prefer it auto detect

I can tell you that the walkie talkie app is not the issue, I have it enabled/turned on 24/7 and my battery life is outstanding on my S3.

I would suggest doing a fresh install rather than an upgrade, this can solve a lot of problems.

There's an apparent massive battery drain issue that's been there since one of the dot releases in Spring - unfortunately it takes 3-4 weeks from fresh install to manifest - but I was able to reproduce it with 2 different watches S4 and S5.

It is accompanied by increased latency in activity sync (as evidenced by going into health app and comparing timestamps) during which time it drains battery like crazy and it gets worse overtime eventually watch lasting only like 4-5 hours from full charge until you reset it and then it goes back to normal (reboots don't help). It has something to do with the health database and you can see it in logs as it's constantly complaining about healthd process exceeding CPU allotment.

Apple finally confirmed that there's an issue - 6mo after I reported it - having denied it every time with a bunch of BS excuses. So now they're apparently working on it and the feedback assistant seem to indicate more then 10 occurrences of similar reports. Still marked open - so not sure when it's going to get fixed - hopefully soon.

I use it pretty normal/regularly, send messages, check email/calendar, do my workouts, look at weather radar, etc. I would not consider myself a lite user.

Seems like a unicorn watch - never sell it mate. It’s around twice as good a battery as mine
