Wonder if the placements of the un-clickable (because the Options button takes precedence) ”Remove” button for a PS4 controller connected via Bluetooth has been fixed. Fortunately it works to right click to ”Remove” from the contextual menu.

Also interesting that some games in Apple Arcade (and elsewhere) that are supposed to support controllers simply won't take any input from the PS4 controller. One example is the game Oddmar+ on Apple Arcade. Not sure if it's related to something in Monteray 12.2 (or earlier) and/or a specific version of the Unity game engine that is used to make many games. But it works fine with some Unity games.

Anyway, I guess what I'm saying is that the quality control from Apple's side when it comes to software could in many cases be better. It's not like these things are hidden – pretty obvious flaws.

One issue acknowledged in safari huh. Definitely have more than that. So where gives?
Also macOS keeps failing to check new updates when I click the software update and it would only work after a restart. Not some huge deal but definitely not ideal.

Unless you know what they are using its a guessing game with Safari issue. I don't see any URLs not loading on M1 based Macs. Not by WiFi or ethernet.

Yes both of the OTA install went that way requiring a restart after they moved the admin credentials to the beginning.

I had a dialog pop and say I was using too much current and USB ports are disabled until unplugged against a USB-3 HDD I use as a backup for a M1 iMac. It was using one of the two 10 GB/S USB-C ports. I just moved it to one of the TB3/USB4 ports and its working. Strange?
I had that same issue when I was on either the 12.1 or 12.2 betas, and I've since reconnected everything as before and all is well...

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

MBP14
* command + tap does not work the first three times if I press command first while the cursor is stable.
* command + click (i.e. harder press on trackpad) strangely works fine.
There do not appear to be any 'dead spots' on the trackpad itself.

I hope they fixed an issue in Monterrey I am still experiencing in the latest version of Big Sur - audio popping sound in Music app while scrolling in Safari on my M1.

I miss the cursor acceleration from Big Sur... this one since the first Monterey beta is a nightmare.

Anyone know if the new beta bumps Safari's FPS to 120 in terms of scrolling? (not animation).
Looks really smooth to me when I do side by side windows, one on my 5k ultrafine, the other on my 16 MacBook. Can’t say for sure if it’s 120 but it very fluid on the native screen than the 60hz on the 5k.

Has Apple officially fixed the issue that Monterey had with USB-C hubs?
Not gonna upgrade from Big Sur until they fix that.

Does this fix thunderbolt ports so I can connect a monitor to them again without issues.

TestUFO - Frame Rate comparison with Vertical scrolling test has the same occasional stutter, but most of the time its doing 120hz scrolling OK. This is similar to the horizontal scrolling test. Guess you could say it's getting there when you disable Experimental feature - Prefer Page Rendering near 60fps.

I had a very odd stuck state with this last beta 2/then updated to beta 3 Tuesday with my 16" M1 Max MBP for about a day where the 140 watt charger was detected but wasn't allowing charging either using USB-C to MagSafe 3 Cable or a USB-C Charge Cable. I sorta knew this had nothing to do with 140 watt charger, but still tried both cables and charger with a 14" MBP at a store to rule that out. I suspected Apple is tinkering with the hub issues and likely something along the lines of USB current disabling is involved. A few connects while trying to get DFU mode up seemed to unstick the strange state. That MagSafe 3 MBP port can be thought of as a USB port also.

Note if anyone observes a charging icon with a plug representation pointing upward it means the laptop is connected to the charger, but it's disabled the ability to charge. :)

I miss Big Sur... it didn't mess with my PLEX server... It wasn't slow, it didn't take an hour to exit sleep mode etc.
What is happening with your Plex? I guess you're hosting on your Mac? Have you reset the PRAM/SMC with the sleep thing? Even my Hackintoshes don't have a problem exiting sleep on Monterey.

...it eliminates Python 2, with Apple instructing developers to use an alternative scripting language like Python 3 going forward.

Forgive the possibly noob question (I'm no developer), but: Does this mean that 12.3 is not going to include Python at all, or is it going to include Python 3? Thanks...

Yeah, that's basically what I read that left me wondering. But I guess the wording does suggest that there's no Python or other coding language included.

I wondered partly because it was my understanding that Python was integral to the OS and mucking with the installed version could break things...in light of which the complete removal of Python seems...like a big change. But maybe my understanding wasn't actually any understanding at all.
