Bugs:
1) Every time I reboot the phone, a notification appears on the settings icon. Clicking it displays, "Apple ID Suggestions," "Update Apple ID Settings," "Some account service require you to sign in again."

2) Go to Settings --> Phone and scroll to the bottom. "Call Blocking & Identification" is initially missing and takes 30 seconds to appear. If you close and force-quit the settings app it disappears again for 30 more seconds.

3) This morning, I went into the app store to find an app and the phone started cooking. It got hot on the upper-right side and drained the battery by 10% in a matter of minutes. The next time it does this, I'm breaking out the FLIR camera to get a picture and temperature.

New behavior: A hollow arrow icon appears at top of screen. This USED to mean that a geofence has been setup by some app on your phone, it has been redefined as "A hollow arrow indicates that an item may receive your location under certain circumstances." In my case, it is being triggered by the "Find My iPhone" System Service being enabled. If I turn off find my iPhone or disable the icon for system service, it goes away.

Spot on. Having all the aforementioned issues, minus number 2. What’s odd about number 3 is the battery seems to be preforming better in standby, maybe placebo?

1 and 2 yes, 3 no.

The new behaviour for the arrow icon I suspect is a bug...my Status Bar Icon for system services is OFF and toggling doesn't change anything. Will report to Apple.

Did you report to Apple?

I can’t say for certain if it’s new in B3 or if I just didn’t notice in 1 or 2, but when I remove the MagSafe Wallet, I get an extra couple Taptic vibrations, assuming they added this as a warning “hey your wallet came off.” Not sure how helpful it’ll actually be if it happened accidentally, but an addition nonetheless.

Unplugged phone from charger, watched a 90 minute video from LAN over WiFi, did NOTHING ELSE and it got hot and drained the battery by 30%. Reported to Apple with pics

Just to remind everyone that iOS 14.5 will remove/break support for some 64 bit iOS apps that are no longer in the store or are too old.
Even when trying to install it with Apple configurator 2 in Catalina it will still fail because the app has to be available in the store.
Also some app will be forced to be updated, if you’ve been holding off an update because the newer version breaks something you may lose the ability to run the app.
I have an app called Recordium which is no longer in the store, to install it using configurator 2 and I get an error message.
This app is no longer visible in my purchases as well.
So keeping a copy of an app on your computer is no longer a valid option.

My iPad which is stuck on iOS 12 still allows me to install an app from configurator 2 even if it’s not in the App Store.

Using iMazing I was able to move my tunein radio data from my iPhone to my iPad so when 14.5 is installed on that phone and cripples the app I have a backup on iOS 12.
