I tried the new battery % number and went back to the battery bar. What is all the fuss about 🤪
Same here, in my case I disabled the battery % number on my iPhone 12 6.1" because the % digits are too small, kind of useless for me.

On my XS max I need it back so I can see, but on devices that last I have never once thought I wanted it back, just unnecessary stress

like the fact that it took them 5 years to come up with this "brilliant" concept.
And I believe it is originated from jailbreak tweak a couple years ago, highly similar design concept. Apple at most “get inspiration” from that design.

Yeah but the jailbreak tweak was even better in some ways. You could tap the battery icon and it would switch to just numbers, no image. Something Apple could easily do…and to switch between them with the tweak you could just tap the icon or the numbers and it would change.

Am I the only one there are having problem whit the battery life it drains faster than the previously beta

What’s the point of this mini visualizer in the Lock Screen music app? Did anyone ask for this? Why not use that space for- yes, I have said this many times- Repeat/Shuffle/Like/Dislike?

Looks good. The home app video scrubbing has a bug that’s just annoying but it’s a step closer to polishing.

Sometimes I tire of apple and it’s crap. But I’m glad this website exists or I wouldn’t have know about betas.
Just downloaded ios16 today. Battery indicator is back! Phone feels even more fluid if that’s even possible. I LOVE the new wallpapers. Better than any other system I’ve seen. Haven’t looked at much else yet but I’m super happy with it in my first 20mins use.

Nope. I’ve seen numerous posts on the issue. You can always try a reinstall. Or give it a day or two if possible. May level out some.
This BETA3 def has more battery drain with certain apps. Right away I notice that the SiriusXM streaming app eats battery like cheesy nachos... same with Pokemon Go. Both apps will have to get updates to fix this I presume. Will just have to keep charger nearby for the moment.

Apple today seeded the third betas of iOS 16 and iPadOS 16 to public beta testers, opening up the iOS 16 beta testing process to the general public. Today's beta comes two weeks after the second public beta, and it corresponds with the fifth developer beta.

Public beta testers who have signed up for Apple's free beta testing program can download the second iOS 16 and iPadOS 16 betas over the air after installing the proper certificate from the Public Beta website.

iOS 16 brings an overhauled Lock Screen with customizable wallpapers, time, and widgets, plus notifications have been updated to roll in from the bottom of the display. Multiple Lock Screens are supported and can be linked with Focus modes.

The Messages app supports editing and deleting messages as well as marking messages unread. SharePlay is no longer limited to FaceTime, so Messages can be used for communication between people sharing content with one another. FaceTime calls can be handed off from one device to another, and the Health app gains a new Medications feature for tracking the vitamins and medicine that you take.

Apple is replacing passwords with Passkeys, and Safari now supports Shared Tab Groups for collaborating. In the Mail app, you can schedule emails, cancel sending, and receive follow-up reminders, and the Maps app supports multi-stop routing.

iCloud Shared Photo Library offers a convenient way to share a photos with family members, and Apple Pay Later will let users pay for Apple Pay purchases in fee-free installments. For the iPad, iPadOS 16 brings a Weather app and a new multi-tasking system called Stage Manager, but it's only for iPads with Apple silicon chips.

The fifth developer beta of iOS 16 added the battery percentage back to the status bar on iPhones that have a notch, plus it introduced new sounds for locating an iPhone via Find My or the Apple Watch, a mini visualizer for the Lock Screen Music player, and more, with full details on what's in the update available in our guide.

All working perfectly, first beta I installed on the iphone 13 pro, just my banking app doesnt work, as expected, and also on lockscreen, tap to show lockscreen is slower than ios15. Battery life is the same as ios15. There is no hint of any heat up.

With that said, I prefer ios 15, messages on lockscreen were centered, now its on the very bottom, makes no sense to me, and they appear stacked even tough I have in the options as a list, so now I can not see quicckly all messages, only the very last message, this is a very big step backwards.

Also, I hate the battery percentage, there's no sense of battery on quick look, I prefer how ios 15 did it, I could quickly look and see if it was roughly 75% or 50% or 25% and so on. Now, there;s nothing to say unless you look very closely to check the tiny numbers, fortunately I disabled it in the options.

I also do not need lockscreen themes, its useless, there's a reason I am on ios and not android, I wanted simplicity. What I really want is to disable swipe left for camera on lockscreen, its useless as I already have a camera icon in there, and anyone can acess the camera even without a pass or face id.

I expected animations to be faster, Apple is slacking.

I also disabled the useless search instead of page dots, its redundant as you can just swipe down to search, or at least let me remove the swipe down.

Useless update, it feels like a downgrade actually. What is apple doing? A full year and I could barely tell theres a new OS on it.

Between this and apple not supporting the macbook prior to 2017, I am hugely disappointed, I paid 2300 pounds for the laptop to not be supported just 6 years after, while windows supports laptops from 15 years ago, and will continue to do so.
I am getting sour with Apple

Anyone getting issues with the main screen now not auto locking? I now have to manually lock it. Screen seems to start to dim and then comes back on again so must be a bug.
Same issue. Have yet to find a fix. Ive tried to reset and then restore from back up. Next will reset and set up as new and see if that works.
