Apple today provided public beta testers with the third releases of upcoming iOS 26.1, iPadOS 26.1, macOS Tahoe 26.1, tvOS 26.1 and watchOS 26.1 updates for testing purposes. Apple seeded the betas to developers earlier this week.

After signing up for beta testing on Apple's beta site, public beta testers can download the updates using the Software Update section in the Settings app on each device.

iOS 26.1, iPadOS 26.1, and macOS Tahoe 26.1 expand Apple Intelligence to new languages, including Danish, Dutch, Norwegian, Portuguese (Portugal), Swedish, Turkish, Chinese (Traditional), and Vietnamese.

AirPods Live Translation is also available in Japanese, Korean, Italian, and Chinese (both Mandarin Traditional and Simplified) in iOS 26.

There are a few other minor changes to apps like Photos, Music, the Apple TV app, and Phone, with details available in our iOS 26.1 features guide.

They better hurry the hell up with these because the bugs are killing me. Why do they prefer releasing unfinished OSes every year rather than releasing them when they're ready? Was iOS 18 that unbearable? Was Sequoya that bad?

Anyone know if they’ve fixed the weird visual bug with dark icons where going home doesn’t immediately draw the Liquid Glass border until the icon stops moving? It bugs the crap out of me.

is there any update to wifi issues? my MacBook Pro running Tahoe 26.0.1 is having no WiFi issues, yet my iPhone 15 pro is having connection issues left and right.

Ughhh. This is iOS 7 all over again.

I may just stay on 18 until iOS 27 at this point. It seems Apple takes a full year to reverse really bad design decisions. (like with Photos where they returned the tabs on the bottom but the rest of the changes this year are so bad it's not worth upgrading for that.)
