do you really need it or what?Darn. I was hoping iOS 16.5 would be released today.

This is unprecedented , when's the last time we had a RC3?![]()
A third RC? This might be the first time I see it.
Big Sur 11.2 had an RC3 prior to release. That’s the last one I know of before today.I don't think we have ever witnessed a Third Release Candidate.
Hmmm, so still the rolled-back firmware in RC3. 🤔MacOS 13.4 RC3 (22F66)

Me too. Didn’t they say it was this week? It starting to look like it’s next week.Darn. I was hoping iOS 16.5 would be released today.
You have Betas and Release Candidates and I still don’t understand the difference. Having a 3rd RC might as well be an 8th beta.
Candidate means that there could be others. So RC1 was Beta5, RC2 was Beta6, and RC3 is really the true RC?
Obviously, but these RCs had beta tendencies. Especially RC1Candidate means that there could be others.
So RC1 was Beta5, RC2 was Beta6, and RC3 is really the true RC?
RC2 and RC3 are just minor changes to original Release Candidate (RC) which is usually meant if no other issues as a stable build for the public. This is where I'm at too. The designations are confusing.
A firmware downgrade (as in RC2) isn't a minor change.RC2 and RC3 are just minor changes to original Release Candidate (RC) which is usually meant if no other issues as a stable build for the public.
Are you using todays 13.4 RC3 yet?I wish Apple would just slow down and release useful, bug free (as much as possible) releases instead of rushing out new useless crap based on some arbitrary schedule. I need my mac to work as expected, that's the most important thng as far as I am concerned.
RC2 caused some external monitor weirdness for me, so I'm really pleasantly surprised to see this.
