Very much looking forward to OS X adopting iOS 7'a design. #
I hope OS X 10.10 will not be created with the same philosophy Microsoft created Windows 8 thinking that we all now have huge touchscreen displays in front of our desktops. Seriously I installed Windows 8 on Fusion out of curiosity and I was like 'what were they thinking?'.

Hopefully it also fixes the random spinning beach ball/system hangups.
I have no problem with flat design.... BUT please do not bring the icons to OS X, please, just please no. I am getting used to the icon, but still looks childish to me....
Whether you like or not, the trend is pretty much obvious now. Apple keeps bring iOS apps to OS X, keeping OS X app as simple as iOS app. I am not sure if Apple would do next version, but when the time come, iOS and OS X will merge together....
Then we can definitely agree to disagree. I say bring it. Bring it all over Apple. I seriously want all the icons between the two match up and unify the image of the two OSes completely. Would also be very helpful to newcomers to Macs who are coming from iOS devices only as it would all be familiar ground.
Honestly, the .0 release of Mavericks was one of the more stable releases I had installed in a while.
OS X 10.9.2, nicknamed "Carve", is also said to be in testing with Apple's software engineering teams, adding minor feature enhancements and additional bug fixes after the 10.9.1 update.According to 9to5Mac, Apple is also continuing work on the next iteration of OS X, 10.10, which has been seeded internally. The next iteration of OS X is said to alter the look of the operating system to bring it in line with iOS 7.
I hope Apple is planning on sharing what this looks like before release.
Other than that, Mavericks has been fairly easy. No problems with Mail and my Gmail account. The one thing that really annoyed me was that the App Store/Software Update settings defaulted to "On" with no warning, and there were apps that were updated automatically, which I did not want. Now I have 3-4 apps that are basically useless to me now.
I only mention that as a warning to potential upgraders. Make sure you check your App Store settings *before* you go to the App Store.
I don't. There's nothing wrong with the rather neutral and timeless design they have now for OS X. That's why it has been working fine for so long.
By bringing in a totally new iOS7 flat design with pastel colors, well... I think it's a mistake.
