The Apple Watch app says "Downloding to Watch... About 8 hours remaining." (Actually, it's improved: It used to say "2 days remaining" !)

UPDATE: Now "About 11 hours remaining..." (FYI... Internet connection is currently 20+ mbps, so it's not that.)

UPDATE: 20 hours...

Whats the name of the GM build? This is the build I have. I'm uncertain if I have the GM or a beta.

Well I took mine off charge at 6:30am, have worn it all day and its still at %57.
Seems better than 1.01 for me!

Try setting it us as a new watch, Ive heard thats made a difference for some people.
Thanks! I'll give it a try!

Just a heads up: It wasn't working for me because I was installing the iOS9 profile that is available in the Public Beta. This is what I was doing wrong. Watch OS2 is not officially available to the public so you won't find the profile from Apple unless you're a dev.

You can of course find it out there from people who have made it available for download. I won't advertise a link here so search for a "Watch OS2 profile" and install that. The Watch OS2 GM will appear in your updates.

Are there any Watch OS2 compatible apps in the App Store yet? My guess is that Apple will be ok with apps being updated to work with OS2 now that developers have the GM in their hands.

For anyone running the WatchOS 2 GM, is it buggy? I've held off on updating my watch because I heard it was crashing in the middle of workouts.......
It´s not good. A lot worse than last version. Buggy and battery life is 1/3 of what it was before. Just don´t understand how they can release this crap?? Native apps? Don´t think so.

My battery life has taken a nose dive. I put it on an hour ago and haven't used it at all except to check the time and my batter life is already at 67%...I really
Hope Apple release a version that fixes this on the 16th...however, I am trying to keep in mind that the GM is not the public release so things could very well change.
Same here. It´s really really bad now. :-(

My battery life is AWFUL!! THis is back to WatchOS2 beta 1. The last beta I had battery life better than ever nearly 19 hours. Installed GM - won't last 5 hours. So disappointing!

I'm in the same boat! Take off charge around 7am and by 1pm latest it's dead! Worst it's ever been :(

If you're experiencing battery issues unpair the watch and set it up as a new device. A lot of people on Reddit had the same issues, that fixes it. Also keep in mind that for several hours after the update it's likely restoring/updating things in the background and eating more battery than it normally will.

I updated last night and my battery life is normal today.

This trick helped for me. Now battery life is beter than ever :)

Im doing much better now. Good tip! Still surprised that it would plummet like it did on the final seed/update.

I don't know if you have tried this or not, but if you set up the watch like new and not from a back up, it fixes the problem.

You updated with watchOS2??

Hmmm I wonder why people are saying battery life drains?
It apparently does for some people but if it does, unpairing / re-pairing seems to fix it. Personally, battery life has been stellar for me on Watch OS2 GM from the get go - I haven't had to do anything after updating it: 14 1/2 hours of standby, 2 3/4 hours of usage and 57% battery left
