Apple Seeds watchOS 27 Beta 4 to Developers

Siri can finally set a timer again on B4 on my Ultra 3 as this was completely broken on B3. Still has a small problem with it: Siri can pause them but not cancel them, saying “something went wrong” if I try.

If I try to cancel multiple timers, Siri gives me a yes and no button, but they don’t work. At least Siri is improving; it definitely responds quicker in B4 compared to B3 but not by much.

watchOS 27b4 does not fix a bug introduced in 27b3 that affects some Apple Watch users (including me) where Siri requests that require "device knowledge" (setting a timer, opening an app, interacting with HomeKit devices, music playback, etc) all fail.

I guess it's another week of waiting for them to hopefully fix this in the next beta.

Weirdly, it fixed this for me having not being able to set timers etc under B3. So strange that it is affecting some and not others.

Seems on-device Siri is working ok in B4, as it was not working for me in B3 with the new Siri. I turned off Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and cellular on my Ultra 3 and asked Siri to set a timer, and it did it just fine and quickly. Glad to see that working again, because if you go out of range of the iPhone, the Apple Watches always take way too long to try a new connection, and then simple requests are just useless.

The biggest issue I have is the ability to send texts and make calls if my phone isn't near by. Hope this fixes that.

Any dictation or prompts to Siri failed 90% of the time on beta 3.

Even a simple non-AI timer.

Now in beta 4 it fails 50% of the time.

Still progress is progress 😂
