Apple today added new Solo Loop and Sport Apple Watch bands to its online store, expanding the number of colors available for the two band options.

Both the Solo Loop and the Sport Band now come in an orange shade called Kumquat, a lighter blue that Apple is calling Northern Blue, and a deeper purple red called Plum. Plum and Kumquat match iPhone 12 Silicone cases available in the same shades.

Apple last introduced new band colors in September with the launch of the Apple Watch Series 6 and the Apple Watch SE, which is also when the new Solo Loop bands were debuted.

The Solo Loop has a clasp-free design and comes in nine different sizes, which can make finding the right fit difficult. For those interested in purchasing a Solo Loop, we have a fit guide available.

(Thanks, Leonard!)

Did they fix the sizing issue with these?

there is no sizing issue other than its hard to figure out what size you are without actually trying them on, obviously the methods described online were horrible, then got better but still are hit and miss. after much trial and error, and wasted bands and shipping to be honest I now know my size and so its forever reproducible if I want to get more...

I love that purple color! I’m a bit different this is by far the most comfortable band I’ve ever had - I sometimes wonder why does my wrist feel so great and then I’m reminded I’m wearing this band - the band never detracts and only adds - the amazing flexibility makes it so it adjusts appropriately and never feels too tight or loose (given you have the right size) - most bands if I bend my wrist it’ll be locked in to a degree, but with this one it goes with it

But the Atlantic Blue Braided Solo Loop I ordered weeks ago has yet to ship.

Ordered Sept 22. Delivery Nov 19 - Dec 3.
I ordered two different size of the Atlantic blue braided solo loops size 6 and 7 online a week before you and also kept checking if the local store received any stock (on Apple website). Luckily I found the size 6 last Friday and ordered a store pick up right away.

Loop bands are now available in all the Fruit Loop colors of red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple. Sweet!

That Kumquat Sport Band will soon be mine. It’s one of my favorite cases for the iPhone 12. I can’t wait to have them match.

Kumquat looks good with the titanium there. I hope they keep titanium around for next year which is when I’ll probably upgrade my S4 SS.

Anyone else think the Apple Watch needs a design update? Every single one has looked the same aside from the material/colors. Apple has moved to the new flat industrial look with their iPhone and iPad. Not sure if that’s the right choice for the Watch…

Indeed. The difficulties is compounded by the fact personal preference plays a big role. For example I measured a 6. Based on everyone’s recommendation online to size down by 1 I’d probably be best served with a 5 but when I tried it on I preferred the 4 and went with that. I *could* have worn the 5 probably, and the 6 would have also fit if I was into a lose fit as some are. As someone that likes to wear a band tight, two sizes down worked for me.

It’s going to be hard to account for that, and peoples preference may change based on the bands materials or other factors.

Kumquat.... hmm... ok.... 🤔

Yeah, the name is definitely obscure, but that color I really like. One band that Apple offers years ago was ‘Cocoa’ (Now discontinued), and that seems to be kind of close to that shade, which interests me.

Apple's silicone bands are extremely uncomfortable -- unless you never sweat or never need your skin to breathe. Be forewarned -- switched mine out.
It's strange. I can barely even feel its presence when I first put it on, but I do find myself wanting to take it off sometimes which I never do with the other straps. Partly that's because I love fondling it, but also I do think it gets a little uncomfortable sometimes.

It's indicative of the quality of Mac Rumors editorial content that the order of colors in the title doesn't match the photo used.
