You know, you should probably stay out of product discussion forums if that sort of thing upsets you. Discussing the positives/negatives of products is pretty much the raison d'être of this place.

Just saying...

Seemingly not.

Funny thing, Captain Apologist, is that if those people with such poor attitudes were the ones to stay out of the threads, the discussions here would resemble forums that are lively and where members enjoy engaging in spirited debate (ever participate in one? if so, why prefer the inferior crap we get here far too often?), but you go ahead and defend the children and trolls to come here and ruin it for those of us who prefer that level of discussion (as it used to be). Good thing we've got people like you defending degenerates, otherwise things might actually improve and that would be an awful thing.

Apple doesn't give a damn about the iPad, hence its UI being nothing more then a blown up iPhone iOS

So sales will keep dropping

- Form factor - as a media consumption device the 4:3 screen is a poor choice, wasting a lot of screen real estate top and bottom of a TV program or movie

4:3 provides more view-able content than 3:2, 16:9 and 16:10.

This is a big reason why the android tablet experience has been pretty awful.

Notice the new Nexus 9 is going 4:3.

For the widest range of applications and multi-function usability, 4:3 makes the most sense for a tablet, with 3:2 being the best runner up.

where hip is spoken
Queue the entrance of all the armchair CEOs and Product Managers, you know the ones who would have made "totally different decisions" (despite their ideas not making *any* real world business sense).

Of course they're all full of ideas about how to turn things around, which is ironic, because if their ideas were indeed so great, I'd assume they'd be quite in demand by lots of companies (or even one company that consumes all their time, something like a major Fortune-ranked multi-national). How do they all find the time to offer such astute suggestions to companies that aren't their clients (or employers), and why are they not charging for their services?

Hmmmm.

Perhaps not so astute or prescient these ideas, but simply spectator criticisms delivered from the comfort and safety of the anonymous internets, where ideas don't have to be proven, they don't have work, no one cares about your lack of experience, and where the only skill one needs is hubris.

Too bad for Apple all these company saving decisions they'll need in the future are right here, dead before they even had a chance to live.
That is a lot of words to say, "Apple is always right.";)

No surprise sales are off. Even BB is doing their part by giving massive trade ins on the iPad 2 to try and spur sales. The tablet market has become too saturated and there really isn't enough new to differentiate the Air 2 from the Air. All the iPad's still function as they did 4 years ago, one app at a time.

Just because an item is selling less than before doesn't mean the company producing said product doesn't give a damn. How hard is that for you to understand?

When software innovation is zero on the device for a couple years and just makes expected hardware updates, it's called not giving a damn
