OK... Of course. Then please elaborate in detail to support your opinion.

Well, imagine you wanna get a kid - will you „own“ a woman or man - or you wanna just get the final product.
Same is true in general - if you want to produce great products you should own everything involved.
Why is it not the case - because of globalization and corporate greed.

The best proof is apple themselves - why do you think apple is making their own silicon? And even plans to make their own Modem - although Qualcomm has brilliant tech - BECAUSE!

When i was young - it was normal that companies had their production lines in their country and owning it - i have worked in one before it got closed - so it might be normal today not owning it - but that doesn’t mean that there is a generell truth behind the not owning paradigm.

Apple does not MAKE their own silicon. Apple making their own cars would be be similar to Apple spending tens/hundreds of billions of dollars to set up their own state of the art world-class silicon foundry just to manufacture the custom silicon Apple DESIGNS. A huge outlay of capital, and a constant loss as foundries need to be operating 24/7 to be viable, and that's not even considering the R&D costs developing new processes.

If you feel differently, please write Tim Cook and Manfred Harrer and let them know they're making a huge mistake.

Its kind of a bad behaviour your last sentence as you know

How does a car production work - you don’t invent the foundry as the machines are made by other companies but you customize them to your needs and optimize the production process.

To make it short - as i always say i highly doubt a car under cook - this does not mean there will be no car - but cook is too wise (i don’t like him) to know building and selling a car is a complete other thing than electronics.

I mean VW the great great company built an e-car on existing foundry and failed massively. They have now the 2nd pure ev project running because the IDX platform is **** too - and they recognized they need something even better HW and SW integrated.
They will build an entirely knew production for that.

And you really say - apple goes to Hyundai and builds an apple product on their existing platform or even worse machinery.

If that’s really happening and it should be a consumer product - YES imho its a failure

But anyways - we know nothing what they are doing and what are their thoughts behind. For me cook just wants to have a car to position it like Apple TV against the competitor in the mobility race
