Apple sending emails to old address

I changed my Apple ID a few weeks ago. Yesterday, I set up my first Apple TV. Today, I received an email from Apple telling me about Apple TV features, but it was sent to my old Apple ID email address. Is there something I missed when I changed my Apple ID? I plan on switching providers soon so the old email won't be working anymore and I want to make sure that my emails go to the proper address.
