My 32 is preparing and my 16 is processing I ordered the 16 first

From what I've read, all the 32 and 64s have had their status to "prepared for shipment" while the 16s are set to holiday shipping with a delivery date of 9/21.. And I ordered 12:04 and there are people that ordered at 12:21 and are in the "prepared for shipment" status.. And they all ordered 32s or 64.

This. I ordered at around 12:01 and I'm still on processing and I also ordered a 16GB

I ordered at 12:20am a 16gb Verizon phone and it changed to prepare for shipment yesterday before all these prepare for shipment threads started happening.

Because, secretly, everyone hopes they'll get their phone a few days early.

FedEx delivered a few iPhone 4s a day early, and Apple used UPS for the 4S release. I don't think they'd make that mistake again.

No, it's typical for them to ship a plane load of the same model at once. They also ship to the east coast first, as it takes longer from China. You can go read threads from previous launches for evidence.

Then I saw this and thought that I would probably buy what Geckotek says because I envision him having this awesomely soothing voice which makes anything sound correct even if it is not.

Nope, they will be on the same plane together.

Then I read this but wanted to remind armoredsaint that not everyone has a basement. I've lived on the east and west coast and have never had one.

99% of people that have the 21st as their delivery date, will get it on that date regardless of the day it is shipped.

If anything, this will simple be due to demand. Most people will buy the 16gb version. A friend of mine for his 64gb version of this iPhone 4S before his coworkers.

My theory: IPhones sitting on the west side of the warehouse in Shenzen will ship first, because they are farther away from the east coast. Of the ones shipping first, Apple will ship the iPhones on the bottom of the pile and work their way up.

Black 16GB Verizon Prepared for shipping 9/21. Changed to preparing over 12 hours ago.

Got my order confirmation email 12:16AM.

I have a black 32gb and its already preparing for shipment(standard). My girlfriend and parents have 16gb's and they're still processing but with holiday shipping.

All AT&T too
