Lots of US Universities have lowered (or even eliminated)their tuition in the last 5 years. I asked Google Bard to provide a list, here you go:
Interesting sociological experiment-- how many people accept the results of an AI bot as true, without independently checking even a little bit? Note that the footnote links at the bottom of the page seem to have nothing to do with anything.

my god, who waits 7 years to settle a dispute? Who even remembers how it started?
Do you even get compensated for waiting 7 years of your lifetime?

Interesting how a commenter assumes that nobody checked any of those universities -- without asking the OP? Imagine if one of the AIs had that kind of pseoduskeptical laziness!

Since you were too lazy to look on your own, here's a reference to one:
Beginning in fall 2024, Carolina will cover out-of-pocket costs for tuition and mandatory fees for North Carolina undergraduates whose families make less than $80,000 a year and have typical assets. This initiative broadens UNC-Chapel Hill’s commitment to access and affordability for North Carolina families.

One of the strongest drivers of Carolina’s ability to recruit top students, as well as a key factor in its national reputation, is its nearly unique position among public institutions to meet the full demonstrated financial need of eligible undergraduates who qualify to receive federal financial aid.

This effort extends that commitment by encouraging top students with different life experiences and financial means to consider the possibility of becoming a Tar Heel. Expanding opportunity beyond our already robust programs allows us to provide this clear commitment to North Carolina families, many of which still believe that a Carolina education is too expensive and out of their reach.

You're welcome.

Means nothing to the question you were asking.

Yes, those Universities have indeed lowered their tuition for a variety of students. Can you name a single on on that list that hasn't lowered tuition? Answering that question could give you an epiphany of the risks of casual pseudoskeptical dismissals.

Pretty much no students at Caltech, grad or undergrad, pay for their own tuition. Caltech’s endowment is quite substantial, and now it will be more.
Total tuition, room, board, books, etc. at CalTech is estimated at $80K this year. After average financial aid, it is estimated at $30K. Some will pay more. Some will pay less. It is still a substantial expense.

Looks like Apple bought their way out of ripping off someone else's tech...again.
You act like no one but Apple uses broadcom chips with WiFi. They are in android phones, tvs, media players, micro computers like the raspberry pi. Apple was only named in the suit because they had the biggest wallet and it’s much easier to establish the prescident and get it enforced if you hit the biggest fish first.

Apples main mistake here was not having a good enough contract with Broadcom to protect themselves from broadcoms theft.

I'm not talking about other companies. I'm talking about Apple. Please don't deflect.
