It doesn't matter how much BS propaganda get spewed forth from the media and 'right-on' companies like Apple. Western civilisation was built by men. Strong men. Men of vision. They alone have spilled their blood on battlefields to keep us free. They are the risk takers to go to the depths of the oceans and travel to the Moon. Feminists should just get over it.

i wish I could give this most more than one like...

I'm trying to figure out what these handpicked women all have in common.
.. being women?

While as any user in PRSI knows I am certainly not a friend of feminists or left winger ideologies, and while I don't like companies lecturing me, your statement is false. Western Civilization was built by the collaboration between men and women during the trying times that were the majority of human history.
Men and women, either the billions or unknowns that lived and died, or the few greats of which we know their name, cooperated thru harsh environments, thru wars, thru awful famines, thru terrible diseases. Never before anyone lived so comfortably as we do now.
Let's stop this man vs woman madness; we need each other.
Let’s stop emphasizing the differences also with hidden messages of left and right.. feminist or non feminist.. republican or democrat, leave some space for subjective and objective differences.. no need to kill or die for.. be free

Men historically haven't exactly given women many opportunities...

Pointing out the silliness of "International Women's Day" does not equate to giving one the "shakes."

I dunno... You might want to scratch a little deeper with respect to why you consider this and other celebrations that affect others, silly. A celebration that doesn't affect you or your life in the slightest.

Maybe this celebration somehow makes you feel under-appreciated or underserved. Or left out. And demeaning and trivializing International Women's Day by categorizing it as silly, are simply just deserts. Try not to sweat stuff that has absolutely no bearing on your life.

Instead, try and show a little happiness and joy for others getting a bit of recognition and respect.

It was so bad, I had to watch it again! Favorite stills (it's a video ad made of a slide show.):

1) A contorted Lady Gaga with butt and legs on sofa, pretending to type awkwardly on laptop delicately balanced on back of sofa. It looks about as stable as sitting with a laptop on one thigh instead of two!

2) White woman in military uniform seated, using laptop while seven grim faced black women (in different military garb) stand around and watch. She looks like some kind of military missionary. This should be a caption contest!
