That's incorrect. Practical effects, 3D modelling and compositing were used. After the effortful practical effects computers were used to draw images and map movements. Apps likely used were FCP, Motion, Cinema 4D, Blender, and After Effects.
But don’t forget that there is AI in Final Cut Pro 😉

Looks a little fake would expect more hard work to go into this video

I thought it was a fun and cool video.

I think I read somewhere that this is supposed to replace the iPad Air. I never had a MacBook but currently have a iPad Air and iPhone and this thing looks like it would be cool.

Haha. Do you ever see Filofax, aka Taking Care of Business? J.J. co-wrote it when he was 22. It’s a really underrated movie with a decent story and dialogue. He showed promise early in his career.
I haven’t but thx for the recommendation. I honestly never minded the lens flare lol especially after i recently found out how actually would spend incredible amounts of time on lighting and refractions, a lot of his lens flare “effects” are actually real life shots he’s made by using glass and other materials to reflect set lighting.

Lens flare originally was a natural side effect especially of anamorphic lenses. To want to deliberately enhance this when you're trying to tell a story misses the point. It would make some sense if the story was about light, or something. He got distracted, was mocked for it, and apologised.
