wonder if they'll disable the thumbs up / thumbs down function given that keynote...

It was available on their site pretty much as soon as the event ended. This is YouTube, so that's kind of neither here nor there as far as when they make it available on it.

Seemingly enough to not even think about it, but spend the effort of posting about that.

We do like to vent and mourn when we see how our beloved Apple will slowly have it's reality distortion field balloon popped!

I for one don't see any upside for the moment other than selling replacements. Once they have saturated every continent (BTW: There are 7) with hand me downs and every pygmy has an iPad Pro it's gotta be downhill.

The only interesting thing was the 'True Tone Display' on the Pro. Wondering if the iPhone 7 will get it.

This is the very first time I'm not watching a keynote from Apple, and this may not be the last. I used to get excited even if I already know all the details of every product released. But this one I feel numb and doesn't care anymore.

It's the shortest product launch event in recent history.

Also, it was the least magical Apple event ever. /s

Loop you in for disappointment and boredom that is. ;)
Plenty of those who were hoping there would be a newer more up to date version of a smaller iPhone and/or those who were looking to upgrade their older iPad and liked some of the iPad Pro features likely weren't disappointed.

Stay puft marshmallow man did a reaction video on this.

Who'd wanna watch that garbage again...or for the first time for that matter?
Some people who wants 5s design.

First one who doesn't give a darn.
But not the last!

I walked into the Apple store in Birmingham, UK and saw 10s of staff there all different ages, ethnicities and styles and both genders, all excited about their wares. How wonderfully diverse I thought, good for Apple.

I then watched the Spec Bump Keynote and saw exclusively late middle aged white men looking quite morose. I am sure they are all there because they are fantastic at their roles but I couldn't help but think that perhaps diversity is a marketing tool!

Am I too cynical?
You can never be too cynical!

It will fall into my category of "mediocre project management and marketing what it looks like case study".

Eventually for the documentary "The fall of the Apple, the vandalizing of a brand".

"Here's our Keynote about the Environment, Encryption, Healthkit and a few products we've been working on but aren't super pumped about. We think you're going to love it."

Was this event really necessary? Only a smaller ipad pro and a small iphone 6.
Two new products, one that is potentially a new line of phones that people weren't sure would be there, and one that is expanding the Pro line that people weren't sure would include smaller iPads. Seems like it's enough for a media event.

Huh...
Well, I saw the whole thing kick off with an ethnic female talking about the environment & thought: "FINALLY, some diversity!".... so yeah, I'd say cynical (or maybe revisionist?) is a good description for you.

I find it interesting that on the slide that lists the features of the iPhone SE, Apple Pay is literally the last thing on the list. That has to have been intentional. I wonder if they're going to revamp Apple Pay with the iPhone 7 so that it's able to mimic a card swipe like what Samsung has done with Samsung Pay?

On the other hand, in some ways it can be seen as standing out a bit more than various other items that are sort of hidden away in the middle of the list by the nature of more things surrounding them.

I believe this event was a farewell to the current Apple offices and stage, he said in the end "this is the last event here". So even if there was absolutely nothig to show they'd still do it. It was done primarily for that reason - to say goodbye and start a new era in 2017 in the Infinite Loop 2 (I hope it will have that perfectly fitting and historic name, not something weird or tacky).

In no way do I like the "what if Steve...." stuff. We all have to move forward.

But, the Apple Keynotes of late, especially the last one, really had me so bored. As we live in PST + 9 time zone (okay... not this week due the the difference in DST...), I can enjoy the Keynote over a pizza and some beer with a few mates just after work.

This has been a "tradition" for me and my mates ever since Keynotes could be followed over the internet, one way or another (following blogs, MRChat, satellite pickups, audio/video streaming, etc.) for more than 15 years now.

Usually, I replayed the keynote just for fun.
No way I'll do that now.
