They should have licensed the song of the same name, “hello sunshine” by Aretha Franklin. That’s a banger, one of my favorite Aretha songs ever:
Great ear to catch that!!
First diva of Soul and THE highest Queen of soul (and Motown) forever.

It's an unfortunate direction, fueled by greed and justified with good intentions.

Humans who do not know innately whether or not they are sick will be controlled by systems that tell them whether or not they're sick.

The greatest technology on earth is the human body.

I had an Apple Watch but found it utterly useless. Heart rate detection worked well and I hooked it up to the phone and then I ended up with a graph showing my heart rate.

I found that to be completely nonsensical. Seeing my heart rate as a chart has no benefits to me, and certainly does not make me healthier.

What makes me healthier: Listening to my body; eating the best foods I can find; meditation; going out into nature.

I wonder if there is a technology that can actually improve our health, rather than just pretending to.

The Apple Watch is not 'pretending' to make you or anyone else healthier. It's a device that checks on certain, limited metrics of your health - heart rate and Afib in particular. This is why Apple specifically and legally has to state its' NOT an official method for health, but can make the user 'aware'. The device's MAIN purpose other than time/date is to coerce you to reduce poor habits, remind you to 'get off ya lazy arse' and make GOOD habits that contribute to your/anyone's health.

With the right applications there are times where 'listening to your body' will NOT help you at all:

Fatigue - if you're a diabetic you only feel fatigue. If you listen to your body you'll probably not wake up from taking a nap AND you can just drop a can full of pop or sucrose you need fine tuned measurements. Show me someone diabetic that can 'Feel' their way through daily management consistently!

aches from joint or muscle soreness.
Growing up in track certain body parts like my legs I'd stretch the pain out, even in my feet (track/field and jiu-jitsu stretches) ... BUT that comes with experience and listening to MY body and knowing it. However ... if I didn't know about my family history of Diabetes ... it could be 10yrs of this pain (not everyday for a while, yet eventually), I could be delaying proper diagnosis for Diabetes. My mother went through 10yrs of this before the doctor concluded that and other non-typical symptoms was this. Blood tests were not fully conclusive due to delays going in by my moms.

Other parts of my body I'd stretch or relax from weight training. Getting a reminder about my physical activity, to stand helping simplistic blood floor and helps me keep alert while working long endless shifts with no breaks. Being fatigued again rest ... then laziness. Having a workout app on iOS and WatchOS allows me to setup my workouts, keep to my timed minimal rests regardless of distractions and KEEPS me on it. No room for slacking.

Think of it this way.
Your mom and pops told you many times to clean your room. If you continued NOT to do ...what did you get? if you did ... what did you get? Same basic principle here.

Throwing in this "controlled by systems" is very odd.
