This is very, VERY cool. I hate to heap too much praise on a $1t corporation in the year 2020, but this will absolutely save lives and help people get free from abusive situations.

Proud to be an Apple fanboy today :)
Why do you hate to heap praise on a $1t corporation in the year 2020? Really just curious.

As the head of IT for a DV Hotline, I sincerely appreciate Apple for publishing this document and to MacRumors for helping to get the word out. The effect of the pandemic and the shelter-in-place orders on victims of domestic and intimate partner violence is not entirely known since they don't have the freedom to reach out. Technology can be a great help to get survivors to safety but it is also a common way that abuse occurs.

I really, really don’t want to get too political since this is a non-political thread, but billionaires have added $1t to their worth during the pandemic while a lot of my friends can’t pay their rent and don’t know where their next meal is coming from.

I know people may disagree, whatever, but it’s a really difficult juxtaposition to swallow morally.

I'm one of those that still don't know where my next meal is coming from, but that's just because of where I was at financially when all this started. I never felt like anyone who had money was taking money that would have otherwise gone to me. Maybe I'm wrong. But I agree, this isn't a political thread, so this'll be my last remark on the subject.
