Ohh, more than James Cordon, I sorely miss Eddy Cue every time I watch this...
I'm afraid that, manouvering himself in front of the camera, he accidentally got rolled over

I feel like original Apple Content at face value is a great example/metric of how out of touch Apple is with the average Joe

I'm European and I guess I'm not remotely American enough for this kind of... "entertainment" or "fun" or whatever you want to call these clips.

But that's my general problem with Apple - I'm not their target audience (anymore), and using their products makes me more and more feel like a 'stranger in a strange land'. That already started when Steve Jobs was still around, but it got much worse since Tim Cook took over. Apple is now a company that believes that the Mac only exists for writing software for iOS and that all the problems in the world can be solved with Apple Music and and iPhone -- the two things that I don't need - or want - AT ALL.

That could very well be the case.
As the avge Joe, supposedly flattered as a "Pro" when being ripped off buying overpriced hardware in an iMac case, does hardly know himself who he is.

Please. No more. Apple. Revolutionise again. The glory days can't last forever and the laurel resting HAS to stop. Now.
Stat!.

Hang on though. Carpool Karaoke is rather funny isn't it. Ha. Ha. Look. Look at the people talking inanities and singing. Ha ha. Funny.

Ooh. Look! iPhone 8. Shiny. Pretty colours! Wait a minute.

The competition has moved on. Why pay more for less? Why would I do that I'm off down the phone shop to see what else is out there while I've been away ... but no ... wait. What's this on the telly ....?

it's Carpool Karaoke. Funny. Nice Apple. Pretty colours. And ... shiny ...

Hey. No that. Cant be right .... I've got to be objective here ... £1000 for a phone needs careful comparisons I can't just base decisions on the back of a hackneyed old idea taken from Wayne's World. Can I? I can? Thanks Tim.

("Thats enough distraction techniques!"-Ed.)

Apple is simply bad at content creation. They should either buy Netflix or just make hardware.

If Apple purchased Netflix, they would immediately "improve" it by putting the Apple margin on top. Yet this crowd (and the masses) start flipping out when Netflix wants to raise the price by $1/month.

It is highly unlikely that Apple can buy Netflix, keep the price where it is, Apple magically gets it's margin and maybe adds more desirable content access to Netflix too.

If we long for $20 or $30/month Netflix, let's keep wishing for this though.

I'm American and I feel exactly the same way you do. This is a problem with Apple going off the deep end, not a problem of being American or not.

My assessment of the Mac and everything else at Apple is the following... Apple is a smartphone company. That is where they make the majority of their money. Every other product or service they make has been reduced to being an iPhone accessory. Look at the latest updates to MacOS... they almost all have to do with aligning with the iPhone and ecosystem to support the iPhone. Apple produces iPhones, and iPhone accessories. The trend they are on will continue and it will get worse and worse.

The sad thing is that they think this CK crap is going to somehow help them sell iPhones, and to me its causing me to want to never buy from Apple again. I went into an Apple Store last week and every screen in the store was on the same CK loop... not planning to go back.

I didn't say, it would be good for the customer. But when you want to lure and lock in users with original content, then you need hit shows. Not passable, but sensational. Apple's main objective is to sell you a golden cage, they would operate Netflix at cost price, if it helped them to sell $3000 Apple TVs by the millions each quarter.

I don't understand the hate towards Carpool Karaoke but I wouldn't want that team redesigning any Mac.
I get it...

It is the ultimate definition of a "sellout"...

Carpool Karaoke was cool. He "sold out'... now a corporation is making it lame.
