Apple today shared a new ad designed to highlight iPhone 14 Pro camera features that include the 48-megapixel Main camera, Action mode when capturing video, Cinematic mode for movie-like shots, and zoom options.

In the spot, a filmmaker uses the iPhone 14 Pro to shoot a series of action sequences, including a chicken running, a restaurant fight scene, a dance number, stop motion animation, a car chase, a helicopter ride, and more. The ad ends with the tagline "Our most Pro camera ever."

Apple improved all three cameras in the iPhone 14 Pro models, with the 48-megapixel Main camera allowing for full resolution ProRAW footage. Action mode is able to capture 2.8K video with gimbal-like stabilization, while Cinematic mode now works in 4K at 24 frames per second.

The iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max are priced starting at $999 and can be purchased from Apple's website.

Inspired by Rocky?

That was great and very creative!

Young Steven Spielberg at 13 years old made his first action war movie using his dad's Kodak Super 8 film camera and neighborhood classmates as actors.

Would be interesting somehow going back in time and seeing what he'd do with an iPhone.

No doubt in my mind there are kids doing similar amateur flicks today with phone video cams.

I hope that such poor ads selling cheap fairies will not help them sell more units. They could easily shift to two years products release cycle and it wouldn't make much difference for people. The products have minimal changes and innovations. Most of this splendor and awe is a marketing garbage.

Will movies be made with iPhones anytime soon? No, but this is pretty cool, when the MP catch up with Samsung and surpass it with the great camera software, that’s when Apple wins. Just a matter of time…Samsung can waste all that ad money still wouldn’t convince me.. 😂

This should really help with my chicken photography. :D

Seriously, I'm planning to pick one up and am very interested to check out actual print quality from the 48mp ProRAW format.

MP alone do not make a great sensor. More, smaller pixels may be great in perfect light conditions and better than fewer but larger ones, but in low or less than perfect conditions image quality suffers. MP are a marketting gimmick and the "more is better" mantra easily convinces buyers that somehow it's true.

Software can compensate for a lot, but at the expense of being able to edit the image the way you want since information is lost in the post-processing of the RAW image; although most users don't care and just want a picture that looks good.

Found it ridiculously juvenile, over produced, and generally juvenile. This opinion from someone who never made it beyond 6th grade.

Animal cruelty, violence, stereotyping, cultural appropriation. I know I am probably gonna get censored for this. But if Apple is gonna punish people for crude jokes, it needs to be sensitive to how it presents other topics about how it sells its products.
