This ad is incredible, really smart and the message gets through easily. Your content becomes more epic and bigger.

You mean a they made an ad about their own device? If it was Samsung they would have made an ad about someone else’s.

Hopefully the iPhone SE isn't the end of the line for 4" iPhones.

I finally put my hands on an iPhone XS at Best Buy the other day and it's too big to my tastes, and the Max is just absurd by comparison.

"If I had asked people what they wanted, they would have said bigger phones."

They should have had a guy in the ad who takes a photo of his d***

Now that would be hilarious.

Apple really are the masters of making wonderful ads that don't make me want to buy the product.

Great, make a phone that would probably get bent in my jeans pocket then rub our noses in it... way to go Apple

I love my normal sized shirt pocket, which is where I carry my iPhone.

Going to need a murse in the near future, I guess.

Personally, I thought this ad was awful and not at all clear about what it was promoting.

Also, if those things happened in reality it would be horrifying. How is this supposed to be a good thing.
All I could think at the end was when that kid's balloon pops or deflates or she tires, she will be falling to her death.

Perhaps it's because I very very rarely talk on my phone. Only perhaps one every 1 or 2 weeks would I use my phone as a phone. Whereas all day every day I'm using my phone as a small tablet, which is why, even today's LARGE phones are still not at large as I'd like.
8" would probably be a bit too large to carry sensibly as a phone, but as I said I'd feel perhaps 7" may be something I'd like.
I will admit, in addition, I don't like the new trend of long thin phones. Phones were narrow enough at 16:9, but recently they got thinner, making them even worse for use as a mini tablet.

While I do love a big screen. I don't love a big phone. The big screen isn't the issue it's the logistics of carrying it. If you wear mildly snug pants. The large smartphones become quite noticeable. They create an unsightly bulge and are physically uncomfortable. Then you're left with unpleasant options. Wear baggier pants, wear a belt clip or be uncomfortable.

I suppose it's not as much an issue for people who use it all the time. I don't use it much. I see it as an annoyance I'm obligated to carry. As soon as the evening or weekend comes. It's connected to a charger and nowhere near me.

Not going to diss large phones, but I want an updated SE form factor iPhone. Have an iPad for media consumption.
Same here. I love having a small phone on the go and a large iPad when I’m home. I don’t watch much video on my phone so having to compromise with a large phone would not be great for me.

I can't help but remember, not that long ago, when Apple rubbished the competitions large phones with this advert ;)

Back when "it just works" and innovations like magsafe freely roamed the plains...until the white man Jony Ive sadly killed them off.

Times change and how people use their phones have slowly changed. Larger screens are necessary for content consumption.]

Funny, the laptops for which we take in consumption *and* try to be productive are getting slimmer and smaller and less "powerful" in a sense, with reduced ports and less ease-of-use (removed magsafe, awful MBP keyboards, displaced function keys on the high-end MBP's). Then again, Apple did remove "Computer" from their name a bit ago. :/

It's funny this company fought for hard and long to avoid increasing from their 4" iPhone screens back when they were saying the phablet screen sizes were ridiculous. Now iPhone screen size is even larger then the phablets they were making fun of back then.

Another example of what Apple was like with a true visionary leading the charge who focused on balanced design instead of personal minimalistic preferences or keeping up with the joneses instead of being the joneses.

I guess what I find astounding is how certain parts of the commercial illustrate how larger is often cumbersome and not necessarily better. Golf ball is too large to drop into the hole, etc... Kind of amazing...
