Apple's first store in Austria is set to open on Saturday, February 24, and ahead of the store's official launch date, Apple has shared some photos that showcase the new location.

Apple Kärntner Straße is located on Vienna's Golden Quarter, in the famous pedestrian shopping street between St Stephens Cathedral and the Vienna State Opera. The two-level store features a corner entrance and reinstated exposed columns with large window openings that seamlessly connect it to the public gathering space outside.

Like all Apple stores, Apple Kärntner Straße will offer customers free "Today at Apple" sessions - daily workshops focusing on photography, coding and app development, music, art and design, and more. Each session is hosted in an area of the store called The Forum that boasts a dynamic 6K video wall, recreating the same layout found in many of the company's retail stores around the world.

Apple says the store will include its entire line of products, while new owners can get help customizing their iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch or Mac from the store team of 150 employees, which together speak 44 languages.

So long as no additional stores open between now and Saturday, Apple Kärntner Straße is likely to be Apple's 501st retail store. Apple currently has 500 retail stores around the world, not counting Apple Watch boutiques and factoring in the two store closures in Simi Valley, California and Sapporo, Japan.

Apple began posting job listings for Austria's first Apple store in February of 2017 and announced its opening plans late last month. Apple Kärntner Straße will open up at 9:30 a.m. local time, and Apple is already accepting Genius Bar appointments and Today at Apple signups.

It's kind of funny to read "our" street names in an English article.
    Language mish-mash xD

I wish they would renovate the Victoria Square store in Belfast. It's so tired.

They’re expanding too fast. Are they trying to be the McDonalds of tech? Tech industry/market is very volatile.

Not sure why you would even say that, however; Wouldn’t that be indicative that the company is continually increasing their store geographic because of success and creating diversity for customers to have more avenues to access their products and services?

Apple is prepared to wait a really long time to get the perfect location for its shops, as it seemingly has done here. This partly explains the delay in opening stores in obvious locations like Vienna. Melbourne has been waiting for a CBD store forever and it’s going to take a while longer too.

Anyone know where they source the wood for those tables?

It looks nice and understated, it fits well into the architecture.

They may be spending more than they'll be able to profit in the future. Tech companies come and go, today they are at the top and the other they might be at the bottom (as Apple once was in the 90s). In my opinion they're stuck and out of really new, revolutionizing ideas such as the iPod and iPhone were and eventually other companies will take the lead in innovation and branding. HomePod? They're too late. Siri? Underdeveloped. AirPods? Not really a game changer. FaceID? Controversial as to its success and implementation.

Quite the contrary. Apple Retail is the envy of the world in terms of success, but only adds stores very slowly. That's why they are the most successful retail stores in the world based on sales per square foot. Apple does $5,546 in sales per square foot. No body even comes close.

Shouldn't your post have a giant sarcasm symbol at the end so folks don't think you are serious? Siri? The most used personal assistant in the world by far! Speaks more languages by far than any other assistant. Over half a billion people in the world use Siri regularly, no one else comes close. AirPods? Bringing in billions in revenue, trouble keeping them in stock due to popularity and now AirPods 2 on the horizon. FaceID a tremendous success as evidence by terrific sales of X and reviews. Oh, and they were just named yesterday the most innovative company in the world. Oops. I guess when they are spending over a billion dollars a month on R and D, Cook and company aren't just sitting in their offices naval gazing.

What's up with Austria? I'm pretty surprised that only now is an Apple Store opening there. But then again I'm not European, so I'm sure there's something I'm missing.
