No problem. We like to think critically at Apple.

So what? $1k is too much? Have you considered the $950 Note 8 or $900 Pixel 2 XL?

Tee hee.:p:D That's not how requesting a source works. At least it's not supposed to work that way. It's pretty darn obvious @now i see it is expressing an opinion that 1. it's a gimmick and 2. it belongs in a trash bin. Neither of those things are presented as facts. Neither are presented as speculation either btw.

Apple lost a billion dollars last year in stock value. That is a provable/disprovable claim that would warrant sourcing. Apple sucks and Cook is a poopy head is an opinion that can't be sourced and it isn't speculation.

    Just like that, video deleted.
Apparently Craig Federighi's IPhone X didn't recognize him again and locked him out! HO HO HO! :D

This video is unavailable, just like a functional portrait mode.

What a load of crap Apple. As an iPhone X user... it doesn’t create studio shots.

    Studio lighting is iffy.....

Hair is an issue. Frizzy and unkempt and you get the left, tight and controlled you get the right.

You really need to think about what you are doing when using that mode.

I have iPhone X the this feature NEVER works this good.
there is ALWAYS some of that back backgroud mixing with part of the face (specially hair or facial hair).

I love Portrait Lighting, don't think it's a gimmick at all. Having said that, I only use it with the back camera - it just doesn't work very well with the front camera.

And its working not very good! Looks artificial and like cheap clipping. I had the pixel 2 for some weeks, that did a way better job with only one camera. Apple, please don't care about this feature as with Apple maps or other beta apps.

My data point says nobody I know uses Siri anymore because they got sick of how bad it was.

It just looks so cut and paste. I use to do green screen work and this reminds me of what my work first looked like when I was learning how all the controls work. I have yet to see any that looks good. Honestly it looks really bad.

In my experience it works only outdoors with really good light and an "easy" background.
Indoors I get awful pictures, part of the face is cut, especially hairs, and you can see it on the iPhone, you don't even need to watch it on a bigger screen.
The outdoors shots are pretty good when you watch them on a smartphone and I printed some of them, as long as you don't chose a huge size they look good. I'd say 90% of the times I use the classic portrait mode, the one they introduced with iPhone 7+, the other effects need some improvement.
