Apple today shared a teaser trailer for the second season of "Servant," which is set to be released on Friday, January 15. The first season of the show was well received and Apple renewed it shortly after it launched.

"Servant" is a horror thriller produced by M. Night Shyamalan, who has also directed some of the episodes. The show follows a Philadelphia couple who are in mourning after losing their child. Their baby, Jericho, is replaced by a reborn doll, and a strange nanny, Leanne, is hired to look after it. After Leanne arrives, bizarre things begin to happen to the family.

The show stars Lauren Ambrose, Nell Tiger Free, Rupert Grint, and Toby Kebbell. The full first season of "Servant" is available on Apple TV Plus.

It's good acting, but unnecessarily slow and boring. It starts strong and goes through a stretch of what feels like 5 episodes of nothing happening. Hopefully season 2 does a better job with pacing.

So, another season of beautiful visuals, and a relentless torrent of new plot twists that will never be resolved? I'm not sure I'm going to keep with it. I have no trust that they're building to anything beyond pretty and baffling.

Started watching this show the other day. I am on episode 5 and I still don’t understand what the point of all of this even is, yet I keep watching, probably wondering if it gets better / goes anywhere?

also somebody donate that family some Hue lights cuz it’s always damn dark in their apartment
I've complained about that many times in my posts about this show. Love the show, but it's so damn dark...I thought my TV was misconfigured somehow and spent about an hour turning HDR / SDR on/off, etc. Glad to know I'm not the only one.

LOVE the show though!

Yeah, it did drag on a bit, but heck this is only the second season!
I'm giving it a chance..heck I've invested enough hours already.

You guys know there’s more things to watch then just Star Wars and Marvel right?
of course, but the main hype si for those SF invasion and are so many...and so many money invested in those movies because everybody seems to want those for 10 years

My husband and I feel the same. Through every episode we have sat there, looking at each other and saying “What the hell is going on here?” “I don’t know.” And yet we watched them all.

We will probably binge watch Servant well toward the end of the new season. We binge watched episodes in chunks last time. It helps us keep track better and keeps the suspense from killing us!

Come on now. Nothing happening? Haven’t you noticed it’s a horror show about cooking? Or a cooking show about horror?

Of course anyone who has ever eaten my cooking can understand how the two can go together. 😁

THIS LOOKS FREAKING AMAZING!!!!

SEASON 1 WAS ONE OF THE BEST SEASONS OF EDGE OF MY SEAT TV ALL YEAR!! The attention to detail and extreme suspense building of the camera framing was delectable. These clips are making me salivate!! Freaking amazing!!!!!!!

This show has me captured, I mean the cinematography is wow!
Story is intriguing to say the least, and I sincerely hope that M. Night sticks the landing with the plot ahead, but so far I like what I'm seeing. :D
Yeah, the camera framing with creepy things happening off center or in background is perfection. This is a show I wouldn't mind taking a film course on to analyze. Very Hitchcockian.

Exactly. I was thinking m night created this is it even good? I haven’t been a fan of his for years but it’s actually a good show.

This, plus Ted Lasso, Tehran, and long way up. AppleTV+ had been a great experience for me. I didn’t even start using it till this past month or so.

Ending was good 😌 closed one chapter but opened the next. It would be an ending that you would be satisfied if it’sa one season show but it balanced closure with exposing us to the possibility.

It definitely goes somewhere--but probably not somewhere that you'll like--in the penultimate episode which is a flashback to... UGH.

Yes, that episode was in-freaking-credible. I did not expect that level of darkness.
