Went in California in the late 90s. One of the weirdest weeks of my life.
You’re welcome. (We try to put on a good show for the tourists.)

Beastie boys? Dads? Elephants? Visible? Home? Dear? the oprah thing?
Maybe some of it is down to... when a series comes out, there’s a few articles about it, but there isn’t an article for every episode. Even though it’s perhaps a dozen episodes, perhaps a dozen hours of tv.

A documentary comes out and there’s an article or two about it, but it’s only a single “episode” occupying an hour or two. It generates / grabs almost as much attention even though it’s only, say, 20% as much content.

If you counted up the hours of video available on TV+, rather than the number of catalog entries, there’s a lot more episodic content, yet the documentaries get a disproportionate amount of the press.

It’s an idea anyway.

I feel like they need to start taking bigger risks. Like AMC did with breaking bad, HBO with game of thrones, Netflix with orange is the new black.

They don’t seem poised to do that though.

Mythic quest is fantastic. For all mankind is very good. Foundation may be excellent - will see. The morning show is... fine. See is.. watchable.
For all mankind was the only show that I found worth watching—and it wasn’t that great of a show. I gave up on See and didn’t watch the last few episodes. Mythic Quest just doesn’t look compelling at all. Foundation might be okay, but considering how the trailer first starts off with movie people patting themselves on the back for making it, is very telling, and not in a good way.

Apple today shared the trailer for "Boys State," a political documentary that's set to be released in a limited number of theaters on July 1 and on Apple TV+ on Friday, August 14.

"Boys State" covers a week-long annual program where 1,100 17-year-old teenage boys in Texas participate in a mock exercise to build their own state government."Boys State," which Apple purchased earlier this year for $10 million, won the Grand Jury Prize for documentary at the 2020 Sundance Film Festival. Steve Jobs' widow, Laurene Powell Jobs, is one of the executive producers on the film.

In other Apple TV+ news, Apple signed an overall deal with "Defending Jacob" creator, executive producer, and showrunner Mark Bomback, which will see him producing new projects for Apple TV+.

"Defending Jacob" is said to be among one of the most popular shows on Apple TV+. Bomback previously worked on projects like "War for the Planet of the Apes," "Live Free or Die Hard," and "The Wolverine."

They have this in Ohio as well. I participated in it and it was a cool experience.

This sounded interesting until the trailer started, looks like a dramatised reality show.

I believe that all 50 states have Boys' State (and also Girls' State) programs. The description is a bit misleading though. I went to the Tennessee one at the end of my junior year of high school, and it's not quite as they describe it in that quoted section of the OP.

7 total docs. Ok, now count everything else. You will find 20 or so other titles.
