... and then losing it again for good. You're killing it!
You might hope and pray for Apple’s demise, but I wouldn’t hold my breath if I were you :)

Yes, Apple’s killing it. 250 million customers will have Apple TV+ subscriptions a year from now. Netflix only has 150 million, after more than a decade—and added less than 2 million subscribers last quarter.

Tim Apple’s killing it too. With Mac, iPhone, iPad, Watch, AirPod, AppleTV and HomePod, Apple’s got an unmatched array of hardware products that no other company can match.

That may be upsetting to you, but Apple’s got upwards of 1.5 billion active devices at the moment. You can be sure that Apple’s (and Mr. Apple’s) success is just fine with its actual customers!

This is what I don't get about the MR forums. Like a lot of folks here that are critical of Apple's choices (not success) I've been using Apple computers since the 80's. Our criticism of Apple's post-Apple Computer era is the priority put on non-computer services and features at the cost of their our computers (and professions). We all - and I do mean all - want Apple to succeed but it doesn't have to be a "zero sum game" where Mac Pros (and other headless Mac's) and MacBook Pro's continue to take a back seat to subscriptions services for Apple to be successful.

Apple is by no means doomed or destined to fail, and I truly hope that 2019 is the beginning of a renaissance for them as they chart a course to get back to the core thing that made us choose macOS in the first place (before the tech industry became a content services race).

I’m sure Apple appreciates your concern, but I think you’re a bit confused. Your comment that I replied to was the typical Apple’s lost it’s vision whine, followed up with an even more tired Apple is doomed post.

Are you sure “we all want Apple to succeed”?

I’ve been using Apple computers since the 70s and I’m quite aware of the state of the hardware. If you use headless Macs in your profession, one would think you would be absolutely thrilled with the soon-to-be-released Mac Pro tower. Talk about being reborn: amazing hardware at an amazingly affordable price.

And “content services race”? Yes, Apple wants to make Apple TV, iPad, iPhone and Mac more valuable and indispensable to customers with Apple News+, TV+, Music and Arcade (and yes Apple Card). How is that a bad thing? It doesn’t come at the expense of Macintosh, despite what you may think.

On second thought, I do get MR forums.
