No wonder Trevor Noah is taking a hiatus. JS would have destroyed him if they went head to head.

That whole “I like science but I’m not comfy with scientists” bit was disconcerting to me.

He didn’t suggest he’s not comfy with scientists…? He presented a very reasonable (and hilarious) take that countered the mainstream narrative on the disease origin, which has since become a serious mainstream scinetific consideration, including with Fauci.

So happy that there is no Apple Watch in sight. Jon has class and taste and probably rejected the pleas to have one in the box.
The imaginary pleas that Apple haters assume exist because that’s exactly what they would do if they were in charge of Apple and thus were running it into the ground by focusing on nonsense nobody wants to buy?

I'll admit I haven't watched the trailer, but the description makes it sound exactly like Last Week Tonight.

I had the same initial thought, but reading the description that talks about "conversations with those impacted," it sounds like this will be much more of an interview show than Jon being the sole mouthpiece for the entire episode like "Last Week Tonight." I expect it'll be kind of a format mix between "The Daily Show" and "Last Week Tonight" -- the single-issue-per-episode method of "LWT" paired with the interview prowess Jon demonstrated while hosting "TDS."

He was doing a bit. He was openly mocking people who espouse those idiotic ideas.
Not at all btw. He was ahead of the ball and mocking the people who thought there was no chance it escaped from a Wuhan lab. Turns out there are now US gov't orgs not discounting that possibility per the latest CDC publication.

Stewart won't be able to lampoon Apple... I'll imagine there will be times when it's tempting/deserved.

By that same thinking, I hope he doesn't make fun of Apple's competitors even though it'll be tempting/deserved.
