Apple has shared two ads on its YouTube channel highlighting the power of its just-updated 11-inch and 12.9-inch iPad Pro models, including a new Magic Keyboard.

The first video, titled "Your next computer is not a computer," showcases the new features in the updated iPad Pro, including the new A12Z Bionic chip, LiDAR Scanner for AR, triple-lens cameras, and the new Magic Keyboard with integrated trackpad.

The second ad, titled "How to correctly use a computer," features an ironic retro voiceover offering a "beginner's guide to proper computing," which basically goes against everything shown visually in the video as far as using an iPad Pro goes.

When the voiceover says "Start by taking a seat at your desk, sit up straight, and focus on only one task at a time" a girl is shown lounging around in a park while multi-tasking on an iPad Pro, using a new Magic Keyboard, and wearing AirPods Pro.

The ad continues in a similar vein, showcasing the ruggedness of an iPad Pro when dropped into a bag, ("Treat your computer with respect"), the game-playing and AR capabilities ("It is not a toy"), and multi-touch gestures ("Do not touch the screen").

The ad finishes by highlighting the new Magic Keyboard's multi-touch trackpad ("Your computer comes with a standard arrow cursor") and the LTE-equipped iPad Pro model ("Must stay within reach of a Wi-Fi signal").

The new iPad Pro is available to order starting today on apple.com and in the Apple Store app. iPad Pro will be available in stores starting next week. The 11-inch iPad Pro starts at $799 for 128GB Wi-Fi, while the 12.9-inch model starts at $999 for 128GB Wi-Fi. More storage capacities include 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB, and cellular options are available.

The Magic Keyboard for iPad Pro will be available to purchase in May in two versions: $299 for the 11-inch iPad Pro and $349 for the 12.9-inch iPad Pro. There are also new Smart Keyboard Folio accessories out today, priced at $179 for 11-inch and $199 for 12.9-inch.

I wonder how much memory.

I'm surprised the keyboard works on the 2018 model, because of the magnet placement. It will look odd on the 2018 model though, since there's that huge camera cutout.

The good news is charging is through the keyboard. That frees up the USB-C port on the iPad. There's (sort of) your second USB-C port people.

Starts at 128 GB! Yay!

I'm a believer in small, thin, light. But.... I think I'll hold on and see the 14" MacBook Pro. No question this is a sexy looking device and would be a 'flex' to use the kid's vernacular.

I ditched my broken 15" Retina 2015 MacBook and am using a 13.9" Huawei Matebook X Pro at the moment. 3000x2000 500 nit display, 512GB fast SSD, 16GB RAM, great keyboard and trackpad and TINY. Ridiculous thin bezels.

I'd have to use a 13" iPad Pro to get even close to the same display, and I also do some FTP of files to my website, lots of MS Office work including using MS Project and Visio from time to time.

I don't think iOS is ready for me yet. Run macOS on that thing and I'm ALLLLL over it.

Will be interesting to see the computing power and ability. How useful the keyboard will be. If I could use the keyboard to drag and drop pdf files that’d be amazing.

My god I can't believe that keyboard. I've always been a fan of the keyboard cover / folio since the first gen iPad Pro, but the current keyboard folio for the 2018 Pros annoys me with how cumbersome it is to remove the iPad and having this big folio flapping around.

This looks so nice with the floating feature. Pull the iPad off and leave the keyboard there as a sort of dock / stand.

Not to mention a trackpad. And backlit chiclet type of keyboard. Damn.

And to top it off - its compatible with my existing 2018 iPad Pro. Can't wait.

i had that same machine and really regret having sold it. I’m really liking the new green Matebook x pro.

A12Z Bionic?

First of all: Why not the current generation A13 and improve on that? An older generation SoC with more execution units, really? So it'll be outdated before the new iPhones come out in 6 months.

Second of all: Boy naming has really gone downhill in Apple land, hasn't it?

I was iffy about the price before I saw the videos. getting one for my 2018 pro.

I wonder if I can have access to a file system on it.
Truly the only thing holding me back, from getting an iPad Pro over a new Macbook is this...

Their hardware is top notch, but sadly their software is still way too limited. Hoping for big things with the next iPadOS update. I would love to make the switch. However, features such as a true file system and the Music app missing key features.. such as editing song tags and smart playlist is just a no go for me.

Looks awesome, but the reality is the 10.5 iPad Pro still keeps up fine, and is just as limited when it comes to the OS as the newer one.. so struggling to see the advantages. At first, I was like take my money, but then I picked up my 10.5 and realized.. why?

Impressive, not much has drastically changed but the changes made are enough to sway me to buy one. If only there was a way to run Windows on iPad (Steam, Windows exclusive games and apps) then I could replace my boring Work laptop.

All UI/UX Designers. With Chrome on iPad you can run Figma (Just click on Request desktop site) Safari still opens the "mobile"

now with a trackpad it makes even more sense :D Cant wait to try this.
