It wasn't shot on film and therefore was not "filmed." Was it even printed on film? If not, then it isn't a "film."
Get used to it. The tech moves faster than the language. If you complain about it every time it happens, you'll sound like a broken record.
We don't 'tape' music any more.
There is no 'footage' of anything, and why was there ever 'footage' in countries that went metric before there was film.
It would be easy to write an encyclopedia on this, but no one knows what those are anymore, either.

When all you hear about a movie is how it was filmed with iPhone cameras then you know it will suck and save you the trouble of going to see it.
When the movie Tangerine was released several years ago, Film Festival goers were blown away when director Sean Baker told them the film was shot on 2 iphone 5 s's. People get so hung up on having the right gear, etc, and it stopped them from making a film. With the Moment and Sandmarc lenses and filters, you can do some pretty awesome things.

The number one reason people buy smartphone is the upgrade in camera technology every year.
I doubt it. The number one reason is that their old phone is: old (shows signs of wear, bad battery life, slow, no longer supported etc.) The camera is just expected to work.

I’ve never heard anyone say they need a new phone just because it’s old. I’ve heard most people say they need a better camera after seeing a beautiful image from a newer phone than theirs. They don’t even acknowledge the rest of the phone. There’s a reason Apple employs 800 engineers just for the camera alone.

Have not seen the film. But iPhone cameras are good and it is nice to see that they are used for full length feature films.

Haven't watched the vid but have seen the film — and I really didn't care for the gimmicky effect produced by those rigs. It takes you out of the moment to be shown the same kill from multiple different angles one after another, imo. The video quality of the film seemed decent to me, though, apart from some of the darker scenes, which looked a bit soft.

Let's also remember that better images take up more space, and more space requires bigger onboard storage and/or a larger iCloud storage pool to keep them synced.

More and more, it seems that people like to say things that are completely wrong just to stir the pot, or perhaps they are just uninformed.

Film also means the final product, not necessarily the medium it's on. In fact, today, that usage is much more common than the reference to actual physical film.

From Wikepedia,

"A film, also known as a movie or motion picture, is a work of visual art that simulates experiences and otherwise communicates ideas, stories, perceptions, emotions, or atmosphere through the use of moving images that are generally, since the 1930s, synchronized with sound and other sensory stimulations."

Don't forget 28 fortnights later, 28 pay periods later, and the the biggie, 28 "units of what your date swears is 5 more minutes until she's ready" later.
28 OS versions later could be set in the very near future.

Maybe talk to real people once in a while.
I should qualify. I've heard people say their phone is old but it's always in the context of either they need a new battery (which can be easily replaced for cheap and doesn't require a new phone) or they just saw someone take a nicer photo than they did but on a newer phone and they want that too. Please send some real people my way so I can gather more data.
